A rewarding opportunity awaits a skilled Inbound Supervisor at our AVI Logistics Support Services Division in Isando. Your role will be responsible for overseeing the accurate, safe, and efficient receiving, verification, and receipting of inbound stock in line with departmental procedures and service level agreements, including but not limited to NBL, Ciro and Indigo stock. The role plays a key part in ensuring operational efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement within the inbound function. \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n

\nKey Areas of Impact:<\/p>\n
Inbound Operations & Supervision<\/p>\n
\tLiaise with factories to plan inbound schedules and prioritize offloading.
\n\tEnsure vehicle turnaround, stock receipting, labeling, and binning within required timelines.
\n\tEnforce SOP, QMS, and Food Safety compliance.
\n\tMaintain SAP data accuracy and resolve variances with Inventory Control.
\n\tManage pallet movements (CHEP, brown pallets) and inbound stock for all business units.
\n\tOversee shuttle utilization, daily reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
\n\tMaintain high housekeeping and SHERQ standards.<\/p>\n
Staff Management<\/p>\n
\tPlan and allocate daily receiving activities.
\n\tManage timekeeping, attendance, and overtime approvals.
\n\tCoach and develop team members, conduct performance discussions and toolbox talks.
\n\tHandle IR matters, casual labour control, and succession planning.<\/p>\n
Equipment & MHE Control<\/p>\n
\tEnsure daily MHE\/scanner checks and compliance with safety standards.
\n\tLog breakdowns, arrange repairs, and track utilization trends.
\n\tMaintain equipment in safe, clean, and operational condition.<\/p>\n
Administration & Reporting<\/p>\n
\tComplete and file all receiving documentation and SAP transactions.
\n\tApprove casual labour costs and manage departmental expenses.
\n\tCompile daily\/weekly reports and ensure audit readiness.
\n\tDrive cost savings and maintain effective communication with stakeholders.<\/p>\n
What It Takes to Succeed:<\/p>\n

\tMinimum 8 years\u2019 experience in a warehousing\/receiving environment
\n\tProven experience supervising a diverse team of at least 10 employees
\n\tExperience in an FMCG warehousing or distribution environment
\n\tStrong working knowledge of SAP WM with the ability to perform all relevant inbound and warehouse transactions confidently and accurately<\/p>\n

\tGrade 12 (Matric) essential
\n\tDiploma in Logistics\/Warehousing Management or similar essential<\/p>\n
