ROLE SUMMARY:<\/p>\n
\tWe are seeking a passionate and dynamic Natural Sciences Teacher to join our Intersen Phase team from January 2026.
\n\tThe successful candidate will inspire curiosity, promote scientific thinking, and develop numeracy and problem-solving skills in students from Grades 5\u20137.
\n\tThis role requires a creative educator who is committed to nurturing each learner\u2019s potential and contributing to the collaborative, forward-thinking culture of Reddam House.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
\tPlan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in Natural Sciences aligned with IEB standards.
\n\tEstablish a nurturing classroom environment that fosters inquiry, curiosity, and student engagement.
\n\tCollaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, assessments, and cross-curricular initiatives.
\n\tSupport students through academic clinics and co-curricular activities each week.
\n\tSet and mark assessments, providing constructive feedback to support student growth.
\n\tContribute to school life through involvement in events, assemblies, and community initiatives.
\n\tEvaluate, reflect on, and refine teaching practice to ensure continuous improvement.
\n\tDemonstrate professionalism, reliability, and commitment to Reddam House values.<\/p>\n
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:<\/p>\n
\tA university degree with a major in Natural Sciences.
\n\tCertified teaching status and SACE registration.
\n\tLegal right to work in South Africa.
\n\tMinimum 4 years\u2019 successful teaching experience (Intersen Phase preferred).
\n\tProven track record of teaching Natural Sciences.
\n\tFamiliarity with the IEB curriculum.
\n\tProficiency in using technology in teaching and learning.
\n\tStrong assessment, differentiation, and feedback skills.
\n\tA passion for education and student development.
\n\tExcellent communication and classroom management skills.
\n\tA growth mindset and openness to feedback.
\n\tCommitment to innovation and professional development.
\n\tA collaborative, positive, and adaptable approach to school life.<\/p>\n
