{"id":21655,"date":"2025-10-15T14:02:22","date_gmt":"2025-10-15T14:02:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/job\/practitioner-sd-programmes-compliance-and-auditing\/"},"modified":"2026-02-04T15:10:48","modified_gmt":"2026-02-04T15:10:48","slug":"practitioner-sd-programmes-compliance-and-auditing","status":"expired","type":"job_listing","link":"https:\/\/jobs.dataaxisnode.com\/southafrica\/?post_type=job_listing&p=21655","title":{"rendered":"Practitioner: SD Programmes Compliance and Auditing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Transport Education Training Authority is looking to recruit for the role of a Practitioner: SD Programmes Compliance and Auditing<\/p>\n<p>Job Description<br \/>\nKEY PERFORMANCE AREAS\u00a0<br \/>\nCustomer Relations<\/p>\n<p>\tSupport internal and external stakeholders to ensure maximum participation in line with SDA;<br \/>\n\tParticipate in provincial linkages e.g. (Career Expo\u2019s, Job Fairs, Industry Related Expo\u2019s;\u00a0<br \/>\n\tAttend and participate in workshops targeting relevant stakeholders;<br \/>\n\tKeep stakeholders informed of new developments at TETA (change in legislation, processes, procedures, and policies);\u00a0<br \/>\n\tEffective relationships management through ad hoc telephonic and electronic queries from both internal and external stakeholders in a professional manner;\u00a0<br \/>\n\tLiaise with other operational team members to ensure that reports, presentations and other ad hoc deliverables are completed;<br \/>\n\tAttend to walk in stakeholders with queries.<\/p>\n<p>Finance and Planning\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tParticipate fully in the planning of the Strategic Planning Documents;<br \/>\n\tEnsure alignment of the budget with costed APP.<\/p>\n<p>Organisational Compliance and Auditing Performance Information\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tManage organisational compliance with regard to Mandatory Grants and \u00a0Discretionary Grants processes;<br \/>\n\tManage internal and external audits of the organisation;Attend all audit related meetingsManage requests for information emanating from auditsFacilitate responses to performance audit queries<br \/>\n\tFacilitate resolve of audit queries and respond to management reports(findings);<br \/>\n\tIdentify and mitigate unit related risks.<\/p>\n<p>Manage Skills Development Policy Development<\/p>\n<p>\tAssist in developing \/reviewing skills development policies and Standard Operating Procedures;<br \/>\n\tConduct policy compliance and audits in chambers and report to the manager.<\/p>\n<p>Manage the Discretionary Grant (DG) Process<\/p>\n<p>\tManage advertisements for Discretionary Grants and guidelines for applications;<br \/>\n\tManage the approval process of the advert through relevant structures;<br \/>\n\tManage the publishing of the advert in consultation with communications and Supply Chain;\u00a0<br \/>\n\tConduct applications allocations and target setting workshop;<br \/>\n\tConsolidate chamber allocations and recommendations for approval and submit to the manager;<br \/>\n\tCompile a DG report\/correction schedule and facilitate approval from all relevant structures;<br \/>\n\tPrepare all relevant communication regarding DGs to the chambers and submit to the manager;<br \/>\n\tManage the development a discretionary grants system.<\/p>\n<p>Manage Mandatory Grants (MG) Process<\/p>\n<p>\tManage system changes in relation to application of Mandatory Grants;<br \/>\n\tManage training of business units regarding system changes; \u00a0<br \/>\n\tManage compliance regarding evaluation of WSPs and ATRs;<br \/>\n\tCompile an accurate report\/schedule for approval by the relevant structures;<br \/>\n\tManage Mandatory Grants request for extensions and appeal processes;<br \/>\n\tCommunicate the outcomes with the chambers.<\/p>\n<p>Manage the DG and MG roadshows<\/p>\n<p>\tManage the coordination of roadshows and ensure compliance;<br \/>\n\tPrepare relevant presentations and submit to the manager;<br \/>\n\tParticipate optimally in the roadshows.<\/p>\n<p>Audit and Risk<\/p>\n<p>\tEnsure no repeat findings in the AG Management Report and implement corrective action of existing findings;<br \/>\n\tNo repeat findings in the Internal Audit Report and implement corrective action of existing findings.<\/p>\n<p>Reporting\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tWeekly sub-unit report;<br \/>\n\tInput to quarterly G&amp;S Report;<br \/>\n\tInput to quarterly Chambers Report;<br \/>\n\tReview Annual Performance Report;<br \/>\n\tInput to the Annual Report.<\/p>\n<p>Manage Personal Performance<\/p>\n<p>\tManage, monitor and check on performance agreements development and signature;<br \/>\n\tManage, monitor and check on performance assessments and reviews implementation;<br \/>\n\tManage, monitor and check on personal development plans submission, approval and implementation;<br \/>\n\tCoach and mentor subordinates and interns where required;<br \/>\n\tManage personal time, leave and attendance registers.<\/p>\n<p>Job Requirements<br \/>\n\u00a0MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS<br \/>\nExperience and Qualification<\/p>\n<p>\tMinimum of a National Diploma (NQFL 6) Qualification in Accounting Science\/Internal Auditing or any related\u00a0qualification;<br \/>\n\tMinimum of 4 years&#8217; experience in an auditing environment;<br \/>\n\tExperience in the Public Service and\/or Skills Development Sector, preferably within a SETA \u00a0environment;<br \/>\n\tWillingness to travel and work overtime.<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge\u00a0<br \/>\nKnowledge and understanding of:<\/p>\n<p>\tStandard office procedures, processes and policies;<br \/>\n\tSETAs;<br \/>\n\tStandards and guidelines in performance auditing;Filing systems, records management and administration;<br \/>\n\tAbility to operate spreadsheets, word processing at highly proficient level and computing proficiency in MS \u00a0 \u00a0 Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint;
