The main purpose of the job is to be financially, operationally, and technically involved in the Stores in their region. Lead, direct, and supervise a team to accomplish the regions goals of timeously reporting as well as maintaining financial integrity of the business in their region.<\/p>\n

Leadership and Management<\/p>\n
\tEffective and inspiring leadership and management to the team for the team to achieve its goals for the region
\n\tCoach and inspire subordinates to implement the operational financial plans for the region
\n\tFollows up and ensures all work is completed accurately by due dates
\n\tBuild solid and respectful relationships with all team members
\n\tDevelop and implement a system for tracking and reporting on the progress and plan implementation<\/p>\n
Regional Operational Plan and targets<\/p>\n
\tPlan regions targets and goals for the short, medium, and long term
\n\tAchieve planned profitability and growth strategies for the region.
\n\tEnsure effective implementation of financial controls
\n\tAssist in identifying innovative ways to use minimum resources to achieve maximum outputs<\/p>\n
Lead the completion of month end and annual financial statements<\/p>\n
\tOversee the monthly preparation and analysis of the monthly balance sheet and Cash Flow statements
\n\tProposes and implements recommendation to improve the accounting processes and procedures.
\n\tEnsure that all company policies and standards are complied with<\/p>\n
Positive Contribution to Stock Control Management<\/p>\n
\tDrive value from the Information System (Kerridge) for the business by continuously reviewing, improving, streamlining and auditing business financial and technology processes
\n\tProvide input into stock planning cycles
\n\tProvide ad hoc analysis to support the Divisional Financial Manager \/ Operations Executive to understand the product range and make the correct commercial decisions to balance to the targets<\/p>\n
Credit and Risk management<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that the company follows the corporate credit management strategy and policy
\n\tEnsure that all risks are identified and managed appropriately for the region<\/p>\n
Reporting<\/p>\n
\tResearch and consider best practice, local conditions, trends, as well as competitor activity
\n\tDeveloping and analysing multiple reports and assisting with overall divisional activities<\/p>\n
Administrative Processes<\/p>\n
\tEnsure that all administration processes are well thought out, logical and meet the stakeholders (Stores) expectations
\n\tDesign, analyse and document workflow and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact operational effectiveness
\n\tTo uphold and promote the company values<\/p>\n
Job Requirements<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12
\n\tMinimum B Com Accounting degree or higher financial qualification
\n\t5 years\u2019 experience in a in retail or commercial\/FMCG environment in a senior financial management role<\/p>\n
