\tResponsible for drafting commercial agreements and the provision of legal advisory services in that regard to ensure the effective management of Legal and Contractual risks, Compliance with Laws and Group Commercial Legal guidelines with the aim of contributing to a secured and profitable organisation.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
Legal Advisory<\/p>\n
\tNegotiating commercial interests across various functions and roles within Blue Label Telecoms Group.
\n\tThorough knowledge of commercial law and the ability to draft and advise on operational commercial contacts essential. Knowledge and ability, alternatively aptitude for Mergers and Acquisitions and Corporate Finance would be an added advantage.
\n\tProvide legal advice and opinions.
\n\tAdvise the Regulatory and Compliance Department regarding compliance and regulatory matters.
\n\tManage and participate in various projects undertaken by different departments from a legal perspective.
\n\tManagement of litigation and active engagement in on-going disputes resolution matters.
\n\tManage legal relationships with Operations and Blue Label business and trade partners.
\n\tPositive and outcomes-based approach and personality. Your personality must be such that you are able to perform and produce without any supervision or oversight.
\n\tPerform liaison functions with external law firms.
\n\tProvide assurance that all commercial standards and expectations are delivered throughout program
\n\tIdentification of possible risk, and manager the implementation of mitigating strategies.
\n\tTracking and enforcing key contract terms.
\n\tAssist with development of methodologies, Change Management, Governance and Key legal terms and conditions.
\n\tTracking and enforcing key contract terms.
\n\tManagement of non-adherence to contractual commitments.
\n\tInitiate and participate in fulfilment of contract requirements. Serve as a business advisor to internal customers on the contracts.
\n\tManage the process of ensuring subject matter expert opinion is implemented in draft contracts and templates.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Strategy and Planning<\/p>\n
\tParticipate in creating of sub-divisional strategy in line with overarching divisional goals with emphasis on client experience (internal and external)
\n\tParticipate in effective implementation of sub-divisional strategy by means of providing direction,\u00a0structure, business plans and support.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Legal Risk Management<\/p>\n
\tReview and provide legal advice on any matters.
\n\tReview ongoing cases and advise management accordingly.
\n\tLiaise with relevant departments to ensure where legal risks have been identified, appropriate courses of actions have been taken.
\n\tProvide legal protection and risk management advice to management especially on contract management.
\n\tComply with legal risk management policy and ensure its implementation across the company.
\n\tReview all contracts and other documents where the company has committed itself and assess legal implications that need to be brought to the management\u2019s attention.
\n\tReview and advise management on legal implications of internal policies and procedures.
\n\tEnsure preparation, review and modification of contractual instruments to assist various business activities.
\n\tAssist Risk and Compliance Department in formulation of compliance checklist to be used for the purpose of ensuring that all information required is provided accordingly.
\n\tContinuously monitor compliance with statutory obligations and advise management accordingly.
\n\tPrepare litigation reports for business.<\/p>\n

\tAbility to operate independently of a personal assistant, with requisite software, administration and typing skills ordinarily required in a corporate commercial environment<\/p>\n
