Calling on customers (traders and retail chain stores), taking orders and delivering mainly from vehicle -frequently for cash and new customer acquisition.<br \/>\n\tThis role will be based in Durban and reporting to the Sales Manager.<br \/>\n\tThis role is a Permanent role.<\/p>\n<p>Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Education<\/p>\n<p>\tNQF level 4\/5\/6, matric and preferably a diploma in sales or marketing.<\/p>\n<p>Skills<\/p>\n<p>\tAbility to read, write, understand and communicate in<br \/>\n\tEnglish.Good numeracy<br \/>\n\tGood computer literacy \u2013 especially Excel and e-mail<\/p>\n<p>Experience<\/p>\n<p>\tPrevious experience in supervising employees in sales environment, demonstrating good competence insupervision<br \/>\n\tTrack record on sales delivery<br \/>\n\tDriver\u2019s licence a prerequisite<\/p>\n<p>General<\/p>\n<p>\tExpected to work over weekends and public holidays<br \/>\n\tExpected to work overtime as required<br \/>\n\tExpected to be on stand by and to come in to assist in the event of absenteeism.<\/p>\n<p>Duties &amp; Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>\nEarly Morning Shift<\/p>\n<p>\tAssist despatch to ensure trucks loaded and despatched on time, prioritizing where necessary<br \/>\n\tEnsure all Drivers and VA\u2019s are present and arrange cover if absenteeism<br \/>\n\tDaily communication on Whatsapp regarding any orders that had to be cut, driver changes,\u00a0 absenteeism and late deliveries<br \/>\n\tConduct crate count and report on Whatapp<br \/>\n\tAccurately complete register<br \/>\n\tCheck crate sheet and follow up with drivers on outstanding balances<br \/>\n\tMeet with Sales Manager to discuss each day\u2019s challenges, the next day\u2019s planning and crate issues\u00a0<br \/>\n\tLiaise with Customer Service Centre regarding second deliveries<br \/>\n\tAt Despatch, check on BOT\u2019s (Bread on Truck), crate returns, bread returns and damages.\u00a0<br \/>\n\tAssist driver with action plan if necessary where BOT\u2019s, returns and damages are higher than the norm\u00a0 or if problems with crate losses<\/p>\n<p>Afternoon Shift<\/p>\n<p>\tHandover meeting with Early Morning Route Controller<br \/>\n\tFollow up on second deliveries, ensuring they leave on time<br \/>\n\tAt Dispatch, ensure correct procedure adhered to in terms of BOT\u2019s, returns, damages and crate\u00a0 returns<br \/>\n\tVerify earlier crate count<br \/>\n\tEnsure drivers are using the vehicle safe<br \/>\n\tInspect trucks for any new damages\/faults and report to Transport Supervisor<br \/>\n\tEnsure crate sheets being completed correctly<br \/>\n\tTrain new drivers to follow the correct procedures<br \/>\n\tEnsure drivers place order with Customer Service Centre timeously and before cash up<br \/>\n\tRemain on site until the last truck arrives, ensuring the cash is deposited in the cash office safe<br \/>\n\tReport problems or changes on Whatsapp before leaving<\/p>\n<p>Route Rides<\/p>\n<p>\tConduct 2 route rides weekly<br \/>\n\tComplete Route Ride Analysis form per route ride and give feedback to Sales Manager within 24 hours\u00a0 regarding the successes, challenges and threats on the route (pricing monitor;
