Job Description<\/p>\n
\tThe Truck Workshop department currently requires a detail orientated, process-driven, dedicated individual in the team. This position requires someone who is able to work in a fast paced, demanding and pressurized environment.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n
Applicants must have the following qualifying criteria:<\/p>\n
\tInstall new electronic components on vehicles.
\n\tDiagnose problems with the electronic components in vehicles.
\n\tMaintain and repair electronic components.
\n\tUtilize a wide variety of tools to repair parts as efficiently as possible.
\n\tTest and repair starters, alternators and charging systems.
\n\tOperate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
\n\tRepair and replace defective wiring.
\n\tFaultfinding of Electrical system by visual inspection and use of testing equipment such as Multi meters and battery load testers.
\n\tMaintain a clean working environment.
\n\tComplete job reports and process paperwork.
\n\tRepairs for COF`s.
\n\tQuality control.
\n\tAttend to breakdowns.
\n\tRepair of gear selection systems on International, Volvo and UD trucks.
\n\tTroubleshooting machine breakdowns.
\n\tDo planned and unplanned maintenance on machines.
\n\tA Red Seal Auto Electrician Qualification.
\n\tMinimum of 5 years post qualification working experience.
\n\tExperience on CMMS system.
\n\tAbility to demonstrate professionalism in the workplace at all times.
\n\tStrong problem solving skills.
\n\tAdvanced knowledge of modern vehicular electrical systems.
\n\tExperience on Trucks and earth moving machinery.
\n\tAbility to work in challenging conditions.
\n\tAbility to work under pressure.
\n\tAbility to communicate on all levels.
\n\tAbility to operate electrical diagnostic equipment.
\n\tBe deadline driven.
\n\tAbility to work independently and in a team.
\n\tHave a valid code C1 driver\u2019s license and own reliable motor vehicle.<\/p>\n
