Job Description<\/p>\n
\tManage and facilitate the functional support and continuous improvement of ICT business solutions
\n\tOversee the analysis and design of ICT solutions inline with business requirements
\n\tManage the development and implementation of the business applications
\n\tProvide business advice on internal functioning and processes, based on expert knowledge of the client environment and their requirements, thereby facilitating their optimal use of their systems.
\n\tLiaise with suppliers and sub-departments to ensure continuous service delivery and improvement of service to the client in line with their requirements.<\/p>\n
Job Requirements<\/p>\n
\tA National Diploma \/Degree in Information Systems\/Technology\/Computer science qualification or equivalent
\n\tA postgraduate qualification( NQF level 7) as recognized by SAQA or equivalent will be an added Advantage
\n\t4-8 Years\u2019 experience in application development in corporate\/ public sector organisation of which 3 years must be at management\/ supervisory level with direct reports.
\n\tExperience in managing IT application delivery throughout the software development lifecycle.
\n\tExperience in Business Analysis
\n\tExperience in application management and support processes
\n\tExperience in database management and business analytics<\/p>\n
Knowledge in the below<\/p>\n
\tKnows the organisation’s policy framework, management structures and reporting procedures for all aspects of the programme’s environment.
\n\tProduct and Solution Development.
\n\tSystems Integration.
\n\tSolution Testing.
\n\tGovernment strategies, intergovernmental relations and strategic outlook
\n\tICT Business Environment and Landscape
\n\tIT Frameworks & Models
\n\tDevelopment methodologies
\n\tSDLC
\n\tEntity-relationship diagrams
\n\tDatabase Management
\n\tData analystics
\n\tSoftware programming languages
\n\tHas a good understanding of the business aspects of the application(s) supported, and a thorough knowledge of technical aspects of the application system(s) and the hardware and software environment(s) in which they run.
\n\tChange and configuration management<\/p>\n
Skills and Competencies<\/p>\n
\tUnderstanding of IT Strategy and the business strategy of the organisation and the ability to align Applications Development with this strategy
\n\tGood understanding of systems design and development, and the management of the SDLC
\n\tAbility to implement and monitor methodologies, processes, procedures, standards, and productivity and quality management.
\n\tUnderstanding of software configuration management
\n\tSolution Architecture
\n\tSolid experience in planning, communication, and presentation skills.
\n\tGovernance & Risk Management
\n\tProject Management
