What you will bring<\/p>\n
Inherent requirements for the position (non-negotiable)<\/p>\n
\tMinimum BCom with Accounting III\u00a0
\n\tAt least 2-5 years of relevant working experience in accounting or finance roles, ideally within the property management or real estate industry.
\n\tProficiency in SAP and MS Office Suite, particularly Advanced Excel, Intermediate Word, and Outlook.
\n\tAdditional demonstrable requirements:
\n\tStrong organizational abilities with attention to detail.
\n\tProven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
\n\tExperience in complex financial analysis and reporting.
\n\tThorough understanding of financial policies and procedures.
\n\tFamiliarity with capital expenditure processes and management.
\n\tProficient in tax principles, including VAT, and their application.
\n\tSound understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
\n\tAnalytical mindset with a strategic approach to financial management.
\n\tStrong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
\n\tCommitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in financial matters.<\/p>\n
What you will be doing<\/p>\n
As an important member of our team, you will undertake a variety of responsibilities crucial to the smooth operation and financial oversight of our property management division. Key duties include:<\/p>\n
Financial Reporting:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tProvide Management information and reports,\u00a0
\n\tCommunication with clients,
\n\tStatutory reporting,
\n\tHandling of queries relating to the financial reporting<\/p>\n
Budgeting and Forecasting:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tBudget management
\n\tCoordination including the
\n\testablishment of deviations
\n\tCompilation, in conjunction with
\n\tBusiness, of annual budgets
\n\tReporting on deviations
\n\tHandling of queries
\n\tBudget Class rates – Compare tariffs against budgets, Identify tendencies,
\n\tUpdating of tariffs.<\/p>\n
Amend monthly projections<\/p>\n
\tManage Audit requirements
\n\tHandle queries on audit reports
\n\tPreparation of audit packs
\n\tArrange audits as required
\n\tManage Data Integrity
\n\tContracts \u2013 check contract summary for accuracy
\n\tManage integrity of data<\/p>\n
Lease Audits<\/p>\n
\tBalance sheet control
\n\tMaintain General ledger account list
\n\tClearing of take on accounts
\n\tMonthly reconciliations of all balance sheet items
\n\tMaintain Intercompany loan account between JHI and Client, invoicing & collection thereof
\n\tMaintain fixed asset registers
\n\tFollow up of long outstanding items<\/p>\n
Reporting on Balance sheet<\/p>\n
\tTake on & Hand overs of buildings
\n\tCapturing of take on balances
\n\tHand overs: Coordination of financial process
\n\tAttend monthly client meetings
\n\tMonthly feedback to management regarding the Management meeting.
\n\tVerify expenses against Project lists
\n\tEnsure use of correct accounts
\n\tCalculating and invoicing of management fee.
\n\tReview Commissions for accuracy & posting of batches<\/p>\n
Legal Compliance<\/p>\n
\tComplete VAT returns
\n\tComplete income tax returns (where necessary)<\/p>\n
Manage of GPS sundry debtor (incl commissions)
\nProvide input in GPS property management budgets<\/p>\n
Cash management<\/p>\n
\tOwner payments
\n\tCashflow recons<\/p>\n
