This role involves managing the sales team, setting sales targets, and ensuring the company meets its financial goals.<\/p>\n<p>Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n<p>\tDeliver role-specific outputs in accordance with SafetySA&#8217;s quality and compliance frameworks.<br \/>\n\tMeet agreed KPIs, deadlines, and internal customer expectations.<br \/>\n\tCollaborate cross-functionally and contribute to process improvements.<br \/>\n\tApply SafetySA\u2019s values in decision-making and stakeholder engagement.<br \/>\n\tEnsure full adherence to legal, regulatory, and procedural obligations.<br \/>\n\tLeadership: Provide leadership and direction to the sales team, ensuring they are motivated and equipped to meet their targets.<br \/>\n\tStrategic Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets and expand market share.<br \/>\n\tPerformance Monitoring: Set sales targets, quotas, and performance metrics, and monitor progress to ensure targets are met or exceeded.<br \/>\n\tClient Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.<br \/>\n\tMarket Analysis: Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.<br \/>\n\tCollaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and other departments to align sales strategies with business objectives.<br \/>\n\tSales Process Management: Oversee the sales process from prospecting to closing deals, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.<br \/>\n\tReporting: Provide regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives to senior management<br \/>\n\tWeekly reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer on progress, blockers, and team activity.<br \/>\n\tMonthly KPI tracking and reporting via internal systems or dashboards.<br \/>\n\tParticipation in quarterly reviews and strategic planning sessions.<br \/>\n\tDeliver regular client engagement and sales pipeline updates as required to support forecasting and business planning.<br \/>\n\tComply with all SafetySA safety protocols, work instructions, and risk mitigation procedures.<br \/>\n\tReport all unsafe acts or conditions.<br \/>\n\tAttend mandatory internal and external training related to HSE, legal compliance, and company policies.<\/p>\n<p>Job Requirements<br \/>\nExperience<\/p>\n<p>\tMust have 5\u20138 years of experience in sales leadership role within the food safety, inspection, certification, or training industry.<br \/>\n\tProven track record in B2B sales, client acquisition, and account management in regulated environments.<br \/>\n\tExperience working with retailers, food manufacturers, distribution centers, and hospitality sectors.<br \/>\n\tFamiliarity with auditing, compliance, and regulatory frameworks in food safety.<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications<\/p>\n<p>\tBachelor\u2019s degree in food science, Environmental Health, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or Business Administration.<br \/>\n\tA postgraduate qualification in Sales Management, Business Development, or Quality Assurance is advantageous.<br \/>\n\tCertification or working knowledge of ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, HACCP, and other food safety standards is highly desirable.<\/p>\n<p>Skills<\/p>\n<p>\tStrong strategic sales planning and pipeline management skills.<br \/>\n\tExcellent negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.<br \/>\n\tProficiency in CRM systems, sales analytics, and reporting tools.<br \/>\n\tAbility to lead and motivate a sales team across multiple regions.<br \/>\n\tStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, especially in technical sales environments.<\/p>\n<p>Knowledge<\/p>\n<p>\tDeep understanding of food safety standards, including ISO, FSSC, HACCP, and GMP.<br \/>\n\tKnowledge of South African food safety legislation, including the Foodstuffs, Cosmetics and Disinfectants Act and the Consumer Protection Act.<br \/>\n\tAwareness of training methodologies, certification processes, and inspection protocols.<br \/>\n\tFamiliarity with industry trends, risk mitigation strategies, and compliance requirements.<\/p>\n<p>go to method of application \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( N \/ A ) or<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"","_company_name":"SafetySA","_company_website":"http:\/\/N%20\/%20A","_company_tagline":"We are a market leading provider of Testing, Inspection, Certification (TIC) and Training solutions to Africa and the Middle East, focused on food safety and workplace safety.
