\tJoin our dynamic team as a Head of Marketing \u00a0in the English Africa Cluster (EAC). You will lead the development and execution of brand strategies, marketing plans, and digital campaigns across both OTC and Prescription (Rx) portfolios within the cluster. This is a high-impact role where your strategic thinking, digital acumen, and pharmaceutical expertise will shape the future of healthcare in the region.<\/p>\n
Job responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tResponsible for developing and managing marketing objectives for responsible countries.
\n\tManages marketing \/ product team and budgets.
\n\tDirects and controls all sales support activities such as customer and economic analysis, market testing advertising, market research and sales promotion.
\n\tManages, coordinates and evaluates short-term marketing plans and budgets.
\n\tManages a (multiple) product portfolio: expand business, define new markets, lead business development efforts
\n\tMakes recommendations based on analyzed market data and market trends
\n\tDevelops market strategies
\n\tDiscusses and reviews the sales plan together with the Product Managers concerned and reaches agreement
\n\tFollows up on the plan and updates figures
\n\tVisits customers to understand market, competitive activities and technologies, product needs, diseases and treatments with a present or future impact on the cardiovascular market
\n\tReports monthly the status of the major strategies, market evolution and competitive activities to GM and HQ
\n\tAttends internal and external visitors to build up relationships
\n\tProvides leadership and direction to subordinates
\n\tReinforces Abbott culture in business unit
\n\tBuilds a strong team by identifying, recruiting and retaining talent
\n\tDevelops subordinates by coaching and mentoring them and offering the right training opportunities
\n\tMotivates staff by giving appropriate reward and recognition to major achievements of the key individuals and the entire team<\/p>\n
Experience:<\/p>\n
\tA minimum of 5 years\u2019 experience within a Senior marketing leader position within the pharmaceutical industry having managed a team is essential
\n\tExperience in Cardiovascular\/Diabetes, Antibiotic and\/or related pharmaceutical therapeutic areas will be an advantage
\n\tExperience in OTC Products is considered as plus
\n\tHistory of superior territory coverage
\n\tKnowledge and relationships with key stake holders in region will be an advantage.
\n\tKnowledge of Private and Public Sector business advantageous
\n\tEstablished KOL relationships and specialist relationships an advantage
\n\tBusiness planning acumen and ability.
\n\tComputer literacy (Excel, Word, Power Point)
\n\tCompliance with company Code of Conduct.
\n\tCandidate should be an excellent communicator who\u2019s behavior exhibits integrity, adaptability and independence.<\/p>\n
Education :<\/p>\n
\tTertiary qualification in Marketing Or Scientific OR \u00a0Related study is essential.<\/p>\n
