WHAT WILL YOU DO?<\/p>\n
\tThe successful candidate will be responsible for assessing the quantum and merit of segmented non-motor claims by conducting investigations, verifying event details against reported losses, and negotiating with clients, intermediaries, and service providers to reach settlements within delegated authority and contractual terms.
\n\tThis role will cover the Gauteng and North-West regions<\/p>\n
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE?<\/p>\n
\tReceive instructions from the Claims Service Consultant, including appraisal notes and documentation.
\n\tReview documents for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with policy conditions.
\n\tPlan claim assessment routes, schedule appointments, and contact clients accordingly.
\n\tIdentify outstanding or additional information required from the client.
\n\tDetermine the scope of investigation and whether specialist expertise (e.g., builder, engineer) is needed.
\n\tAssess risk and provide recommendations to the underwriting team.
\n\tAppoint specialist resources where necessary.
\n\tLiaise with external parties such as the police or weather bureau to evaluate claim merit.
\n\tCompare collected information with policy requirements and the details of the submitted claim.
\n\tEstablish appropriate replacements and assess associated risks.
\n\tDecide on and negotiate settlement options, including replacement, cash, or claim card.
\n\tAuthorize repairs or cash settlements within delegated authority.
\n\tCompile and submit detailed claims reports while maintaining accurate and updated claim files.
\n\tAddress and resolve client or broker complaints promptly and fairly.
\n\tManage relationships with clients, brokers, service providers, and internal stakeholders (e.g., relationship managers, claims committees, underwriters).
\n\tEnsure effective and ongoing communication with all relevant stakeholders throughout the claims process.<\/p>\n
QUALIIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\tMatric (Grade 12) with Mathematics
\n\tShort-term Insurance Qualification (NQF Level 4) and completion of the Digital Non-Motor Assessors Skills Programme
\n\tCertified Fraud Examiner (CFE) qualification will be an added advantage
\n\tA minimum of five (5) years\u2019 relevant experience in digital non-motor assessments (full spectrum); field assessing experience will be advantageous<\/p>\n
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS<\/p>\n
\tCompletion of all relevant product training
\n\tProficient in using IM external systems
\n\tProven experience in adjustment processes, assessor reporting tools, and building terminology
\n\tSkilled in repair estimation for building damage, addressing indemnity issues, and working with non-standard roofing (e.g., thatching), floor coverings, Gyproc, and building repair calculators
\n\tFamiliar with advanced electronic equipment used in assessments<\/p>\n
