\tIndustrial Engineering B-Eng Degree\/ Advanced Diploma from a recognized institution (No diploma).<\/p>\n
Computer Skills:<\/p>\n
\tMS Visio – Intermediate
\n\tAutoCad – Intermediate<\/p>\n
Job-related Requirements:<\/p>\n
\t3 month (s) industrial engineering experience and or knowledge of project management, in a contract logistics environment or similar;
\n\tKnowledge of implementing Continuous Improvement Projects, group facilitation, advanced communication, planning, execution & control Other minimum requirements:
\n\tAbility to work extended hours (supporting of 24hr operation)
\n\tAbility to work under pressure & adapt to change<\/p>\n
ADDED ADVANTAGES FOR THIS ROLE:<\/p>\n
\tExposure to logistics; supply chain; or production environments through academic projects, vacation work or internships
\n\tKnowledge of project management principles and continuous improvement methodologies (Lean,six sigma, or Kaizen exposure is advantageous)
\n\tStrong analytical and problem- solving skills with the ability to interpret data and recommend improvements
\n\tEffective communication skills; with the ability to present ideas clearly and work collaboratively in a team
\n\tAbility to plan, organize, and manage time effectively while meeting deadlines
\n\tWillingness to work extended hours to support a 24-hour operational environment when required
\n\tResilience and adaptability to work under pressure and adjust to changing priorities
\n\tMember of an Engineering Council or registered as an engineer will be advantageous<\/p>\n
MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:<\/p>\n
\tThe successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, analysing and implementing continuous improvement initiatives in all areas of the operation. Included but not limited to receiving, warehousing and line supply operations of the material handling activities.<\/p>\n
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
\tResponsible and accountable for implementation of CIP through related studies and other methodologies (5S, Lean, TOC, etc.)
\n\tInitiatives may include, but are not limited to: receiving, binning, picking, kitting, sequencing, slotting, design, planning, scheduling, benchmarking, team problem solving, layout design, measurement and improvement of KPI\u2019s, automation and process flow improvement.
\n\tActively contributes to initiatives from the site and\/or business unit engineering teams
\n\tEvaluates and analyzes data, processes and material flow Implements initiatives and monitors quantitative benefits of changes
\n\tDevelops business cases for financial investments where required, including ROI calculations, quantified value, productivity improvements, etc.
\n\tDocuments and communicates project timelines, milestones and objectives.
\n\tConducts training sessions and assists in coaching of employees on Lean and Problem Solving principles Additional Job Information:
