PURPOSE OF THE ROLE<\/p>\n
\tAs Production Butchery Manager you will oversee the meat processing and manage the production operations overseeing all aspects of the butchery production process, ensuring efficiency and high standards.
\n\tMonitor production schedules and adjust according to needs. You will be required to coordinate with procurement and the sales team to align production with demand. Being committed to compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
\tOversee all aspects of the butchery production process, ensuring efficiency and high standards.
\n\tManage and train butchery staff, ensuring compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
\n\tCoordinate with procurement and sales teams to align production with demand.
\n\tMonitor production schedules and adjust as needed to meet customer orders.
\n\tImplement and maintain quality control measures throughout the production process.
\n\tManage inventory of raw materials and finished products.
\n\tDevelop and optimize processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
\n\tEnsure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
\n\tEnsure maximum profits through optimum usage of carcasses.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 (Matric) certificate or equivalent qualification.
\n\tProven experience of at least 7 years in a similar position, with a preference for experience within the red meat industry and\/or red meat production.\u00a0
\n\tProven experience as a Butchery Manager or in a similar role within the meat processing industry.
\n\tExperience and knowledge of the Meat Matix program or similar programs would be an advantage.
\n\tIn-depth knowledge of butchery techniques and meat processing standards such as block tests and working on a band saw.\u00a0
\n\tKnowledge of health and safety regulations and food safety and hygiene standards related to meat processing.
\n\tClear knowledge of carcass manufacturing to achieve maximum profits.\u00a0<\/p>\n
