\tDeveloping Financial Models: Constructing detailed financial models to predict future financial performance under various scenarios.
\n\tForecasting: Utilizing historical data, market trends and seasonality to project future revenues, expenses, and profitability.
\n\tStrategic Analysis: Providing insights on potential business ventures and strategic decisions through detailed financial analysis.
\n\tProduct Analysis: Provide financial models that can be used to build profitable<\/p>\n
Budget and Forecast Management<\/p>\n
\tBudget Creation: Collaborating with department heads to create realistic and achievable budgets that align with the company\u2019s strategic goals.
\n\tVariance Analysis: Comparing actual financial performance against the budget and investigating significant variances to understand their causes.
\n\tResource Allocation: Ensuring that financial resources are allocated efficiently to support key business initiatives and operational needs.<\/p>\n
Reporting and Compliance<\/p>\n
\tFinancial Statements Preparation: Overseeing the preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with accounting standards.
\n\tRegulatory Compliance: Ensuring all financial reporting complies with relevant laws and regulations, such as GAAP or IFRS.
\n\tInternal Reporting: Providing timely and accurate financial reports to internal stakeholders to aid in decision-making.<\/p>\n
Performance Monitoring<\/p>\n
\tKPI Tracking: Identifying and monitoring key performance indicators to measure financial health and operational performance.
\n\tBenchmarking: Comparing the company\u2019s financial performance against industry standards and competitors.
\n\tPerformance Reviews: Conducting regular reviews with management to discuss financial performance and implement necessary adjustments.<\/p>\n
Risk Management<\/p>\n
\tRisk Identification: Recognizing financial risks related to market fluctuations, credit, liquidity, and operational inefficiencies.
\n\tRisk Mitigation Strategies: Developing and implementing strategies to manage and mitigate identified risks.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Management and Decision Support<\/p>\n
\tProviding decision support to senior finance leadership
\n\tMaintaining relationships with stakeholders
\n\tProviding real-time support, financial guidance, and insights into business performance
\n\tSupporting development of business cases and proposing financial solutions to challenges
\n\tWorks closely with business units to understand their needs and challenges.
\n\tDevelops business cases for new initiatives and assesses commercial feasibility.<\/p>\n
Cost Control and Efficiency<\/p>\n
\tCost Analysis: Conducting thorough analyses of cost structures to identify areas for cost reduction.
\n\tProcess Improvement: Recommending and implementing process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
\n\tSupplier Negotiations: Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to obtain the best terms and pricing to control procurement costs.<\/p>\n
Investment Analysis<\/p>\n
\tCapital Expenditure (Capex) Evaluation: Assessing the financial viability of potential capital expenditures and projects.
\n\tReturn on Investment (ROI) Analysis: Calculating and analyzing the expected return on investment for various projects and initiatives.<\/p>\n
Job Requirements<\/p>\n
\tDegree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration
\n\tChartered Accountant registration with appropriate recognised professional body.
\n\tAt least 6 years of professional experience or equivalent with 3-4 years of relevant experience in a well-disciplined organisation where best practices are integral to the management of the business.
\n\tExperience leading a financial planning and analysis (or similar) team with a thorough understanding of financial accounting and management reporting.
\n\tSolid experience leading and managing in a matrix environment.
\n\tExperience in financial, accounting and project management systems, policies and procedures
\n\tExperience in SQL, database analytics, and ERPs.
\n\tExposure to Telco or Banking environments preferred.<\/p>\n
Knowledge, skills and attributes:<\/p>\n
\tStrong commercial orientation and business acumen.
\n\tExcellent analytical, financial modelling, and problem-solving skills.
\n\tAbility to develop business cases and present financial information to senior stakeholders.
\n\tSolid influence management and stakeholder engagement skills.
\n\tFamiliarity with SQL and database management for enhanced data analytics.
\n\tGeneral business analysis and strategic thinking.
\n\tPrevious experience in Telecommunications or Banking sectors will be advantageous.
\n\tExcellent knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, and related financial compliance requirements.
\n\tHigh energy, enthusiasm, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
\n\tAbility to work in a dual reporting matrix environment<\/p>\n
