Job Description
\nThe successful candidate will be responsible for:<\/p>\n
Ensuring effective and efficient functioning of the following in the province:<\/p>\n
\tperforming the full financial accounting function
\n\tensuring a record of all source documents, audit trails and bank statements
\n\tensuring that effective accounting procedures and systems are implemented and adhered to
\n\tImplementing and managing all financial functions in the province in accordance with the standard operating procedures
\n\tProducing accurate financial reports
\n\tEffectively managing and directing all support staff<\/p>\n

Job Requirements
\nMinimum requirements:<\/p>\n
\tTertiary qualification related to Finance
\n\t5 years\u2019 experience in the field of financial management
\n\tExperience in budgeting and auditing processes
\n\tRelevant staff management experience, including on project basis or completion of the Party\u2019s Management Readiness Programme (applicable to internal candidates)
\n\tComputer literacy, particularly MS Office Suite with an emphasis on Excel, Zoom and Sage Evolution Accounting System<\/p>\n

\n\tTime management and organisation
\n\tAdministration and attention to detail<\/p>\n
Abilities:<\/p>\n
\tProcess and understand complex and technical information

\n\tUse initiative in high-pressure situations
\n\tWork effectively and energetically around a demanding work schedule, including working irregular hours on a frequent basis
\n\tBe outcomes-orientated, not simply task-orientated
\n\tWork independently<\/p>\n
Knowledge and Commitment:<\/p>\n
\tKnowledge of the local, provincial and national political and legislative framework and dynamics
\n\tCommitment to the principles, policies and programme of action of the Democratic Alliance
