Supplier Growth Manager<\/p>\n
\tA vacancy exists for a\u00a0Supplier Growth Manager\u00a0within\u00a0Kazang \u2013 Micro Merchant, in\u00a0Johannesburg, Gauteng. \u00a0\u00a0
\n\tThe\u00a0Supplier Growth Manager\u00a0will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of multiple stores or locations within their assigned area.
\n\tYou will ensure that each location meets operational standards, including sales targets, customer service goals, and compliance with company policies.
\n\tThey manage growth and opportunities within their area. This includes monitoring Vault Reps, optimizing resources, and ensuring that growth targets are met while maintaining profitability.
\n\tYou will be responsible for overseeing training programs for store personnel within their area and ensuring that employees receive proper training on product knowledge, customer service skills, and operational procedures to perform their roles effectively.
\n\tHandle operational issues and challenges that arise within their area. They use problem-solving skills to address issues promptly and effectively, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n
Supplier Acquisition & Onboarding<\/p>\n
\tIdentify, engage, and onboard new suppliers to expand the company\u2019s product\/service offerings.
\n\tDevelop and implement supplier growth strategies to improve market competitiveness.
\n\tEnsure smooth onboarding processes, including contract negotiations, compliance checks, and training.<\/p>\n
Supplier Performance & Relationship Management<\/p>\n
\tManage relationships with existing suppliers, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
\n\tMonitor supplier performance metrics, including sales, fulfillment rates, and service quality.
\n\tProvide strategic guidance to suppliers to improve their performance and maximize growth potential.<\/p>\n
Revenue & Growth Optimization<\/p>\n
\tDevelop and execute initiatives to drive supplier sales and profitability.
\n\tCollaborate with internal teams (e.g., Sales, Marketing, Operations) to create promotional campaigns and growth strategies.
\n\tLeverage data analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement in supplier performance.<\/p>\n
Process Improvement & Compliance<\/p>\n
\tContinuously refine supplier management processes to enhance efficiency and scalability.
\n\tEnsure suppliers comply with company policies, contractual agreements, and industry regulations.
\n\tWork closely with legal and finance teams to manage contract negotiations and risk assessments.<\/p>\n
In order to be considered for this position, the following requirements must be met:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\t5 years experience in Sales, Account Management or Business Development in FMCG Markets or Payment Company.
\n\tExperience in the per-urban\/rural informal economy would be an advantage.
\n\tSkills in Sales and Negotiating at informal level as well as in semi corporate partners.
\n\tWell networked within the informal market as well as large wholesalers and FMCG suppliers.<\/p>\n
Technical Skills:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tProficient in Outlook, MS Office Suite and Microsoft Excel.<\/p>\n

\n\tTechnical Understanding: Strong grasp of technical systems and financial transactions.
