About the role<\/p>\n
\tIn this role, you will responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of both the interior and exterior of our buildings, addressing any issues that arise promptly and efficiently. Additionally, you will provide essential support to the Facilities Manager, assisting with various tasks and contributing to the overall management of the property. Your hands-on approach and attention to detail will help maintain a high standard of safety, and functionality.<\/p>\n
What you will bring<\/p>\n
\tApproximately 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in building maintenance and technical support.
\n\tA Wireman’s license is an essential requirement
\n\tProficiency in technical and mechanical tasks, including basic building maintenance.
\n\tHands-on skills in painting, plumbing, carpentry, carpeting, and waterproofing.
\n\tExperience in carpet laying and welding.
\n\tAbility to work with electrical carpentry equipment.
\n\tUnderstanding of painting products and techniques.
\n\tPractical knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, tiling, and waterproofing.
\n\tFamiliarity with general safety standards and working with electrical equipment.
\n\tStrong initiative and ability to work proactively.
\n\tCommitment to customer satisfaction and high-quality standards.
\n\tExcellent teamwork and cooperation skills.
\n\tEffective problem-solving and decision-making abilities.<\/p>\n
What you will be doing<\/p>\n
You will be responsible for the following:<\/p>\n
Painting<\/p>\n
\tPrepare surfaces for painting by covering surrounding areas with protective material.
\n\tEnsure all tools and materials are ready and in good condition.
\n\tExecute painting tasks on walls, doors, ceilings, rails, parking lines, and numbers.
\n\tClean up the work area after painting and ensure tools are cleaned and stored safely.
\n\tComplete paintwork to client specifications and obtain sign-off on work orders.<\/p>\n
Carpentry<\/p>\n
\tPerform small adjustments and repairs on doors, including hanging doors, fixing locks, and replacing door closers.
\n\tRepair cupboards, shelves, and gutters as needed.
\n\tEnsure all carpentry work meets quality standards and client requirements.<\/p>\n
Plumbing<\/p>\n
\tAddress blockages in plumbing systems such as toilets, sinks, pipes, and drains to restore normal water flow.
\n\tInstall and repair plumbing fixtures including geysers, flush masters, and toilet seats.
\n\tPrepare surfaces for tile replacements and ensure all repairs are conducted as per client specifications.<\/p>\n
Floor Repairs<\/p>\n
\tRemove damaged carpet tiles and prepare floor surfaces for new installations.
\n\tApply glue and install new carpet tiles or floor coverings as per supplier instructions.
\n\tEnsure all floor repair work is completed to a high standard and clean the area thoroughly.<\/p>\n
Equipment Installation<\/p>\n
\tAssist with the moving and installation of equipment, including projectors, wallboards, TVs, and other fixtures.
\n\tCoordinate with IT specialists for equipment setups and make minor adjustments as needed.
\n\tInstall and maintain dispenser units and blinds as required.<\/p>\n
Roof Repairs<\/p>\n
\tConduct small waterproofing repairs on roofs, including the repair of pipes, covers, and drains.
\n\tEnsure roof repair tasks are completed efficiently and to client satisfaction.
\n\tIn all tasks, you will ensure that equipment is stored safely, work areas are kept clean, and all work orders are signed off by clients. Your attention to detail and commitment to quality will be key in maintaining high standards across our facilities.\u200b<\/p>\n
