About the job<\/p>\n
\tTo co-ordinate and manage Third Party Logistics Service providers for warehousing and distribution across channels in South Africa and distributing into Botswana, Namibia, Lesotho, Swaziland and Mozambique. This role also maintains stock accuracy and manages crates and pallets across the network and handles dispute resolution on inventory queries (SPOC).<\/p>\n
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
\nStrategy and Planning<\/p>\n
\tEffective leadership and direction for the operations team through involvement and communication to deliver on the relevant key business drivers
\n\tWork with deployment & planning teams on inventory issues and improvements
\n\tDrive change and lead the implementation of best practice<\/p>\n
Controls<\/p>\n
\tManage and ensure that Inventory is well organized and controlled to sufficiently support Operations and the goals of the business.
\n\tImplement improvement processes and maintain policies and procedures and systems to minimize costs and maximize working capital.
\n\tManage stock takes, cycle counts, replenishments
\n\tControl Pick fails & stock investigations
\n\tSupervise stock movements
\n\tManage and implement inventory management strategies
\n\tPerform audits of inventory management-related tools, processes and systems ensuring settings are correct and optimized.<\/p>\n
Reporting<\/p>\n
\tProduce daily reports to ensure key critical areas of the inventory processes are controlled
\n\tPerform manual transactions in SAP when support systems are down
\n\tSupport management in the Finished goods warehouse on inventory
\n\tAssist Operations as and when necessary with inventory queries (FG)
\n\tMaintain master data management of inventory
\n\tProvide backup and support for SAP users where required.
\n\tRunning and Updating weekly PowerBI dashboards<\/p>\n
Relationship Building<\/p>\n
\tManage the dispute resolution and claims (SPOC)
\n\tEngagement with FG warehouse personnel
\n\tProvide training and support of end users in SAP platforms
\n\tMentor other logistics team members, as required<\/p>\n
ACADEMIC AND TRADE QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
\tBachelors Degree or Diploma in Purchasing, Supply Chain Logistics or Engineering, Finance<\/p>\n
WORK EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS<\/p>\n
\tAt least 3-5 years\u2019 experience in FMCG and related Supply Chain experience
\n\tPrevious experience in working with SAP is an advantage
\n\tPrevious experience in WMS is preferable
\n\tProject Management skills
\n\tProficient in MS Office: Excel, Work, Outlook, PowerPoint
\n\tPrevious experience in managing a team is an advantage
\n\tA thorough understanding of all Supply Chain principles and processes
\n\tPrevious experience in dairy is preferable<\/p>\n
