Technical Competencies<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications and Experience<\/p>\n<p>Qualifications:<\/p>\n<p>\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems,<br \/>\n\tActuarial Science or Data Science.<br \/>\n\tPostgraduate qualification in Data Analytics or Business Administration, and certifications in data governance, project<br \/>\n\tmanagement, or enterprise architecture.<\/p>\n<p>Experience:<\/p>\n<p>\tMinimum 12 years of experience with 5+ years in a management role.<br \/>\n\tExtensive experience in data management, analytics, and business intelligence, with a proven track record of leading<br \/>\n\tsuccessful data-driven projects.<br \/>\n\tExperience with modern data tools and platforms, such as big data technologies, machine learning frameworks, and<br \/>\n\tdata visualisation tools.<br \/>\n\tStrong track record in aligning data initiatives with business strategy.<br \/>\n\tStrategic data planning and enterprise data architecture and integration.<br \/>\n\tData strategy development aligned with corporate vision.<br \/>\n\tData governance, compliance, and risk management.<br \/>\n\tProject and programme management (including multi-million-rand data projects).<br \/>\n\tSystems integration, infrastructure, and data centre operations.<br \/>\n\tKnowledge of data security, virtualisation, and green technologies.<br \/>\n\tBudgeting and cost-benefit analysis for data investments.<br \/>\n\tStrong understanding of software, hardware, and telecommunications systems.<br \/>\n\tRegulatory frameworks (e.g., King III, data governance).<br \/>\n\tData procurement and vendor management.<br \/>\n\tDisaster recovery and business continuity planning.<br \/>\n\tTechnical Competencies:<\/p>\n<p>Digital Literacy:<\/p>\n<p>\tConduct research and has awareness of the latest trends in the digital space that affects the Organisation and the business<br \/>\n\tunit.<br \/>\n\tSeek out innovative approaches and interventions to improve digital agility.<br \/>\n\tTo identify technical problems when operating devices and using digital environments, and to solve them (from<br \/>\n\ttroubleshooting to solving more complex problems).
