Critical Outputs<\/p>\n
\tEffective management of CPD & other programs for qualified nurses
\n\tPlan, co-ordinate and participate in nursing competency requirements of the hospital and nursing function strategy
\n\tProvide coaching and mentoring to staff to ensure clinical competence.
\n\tEffective management of the risk bases in-service training programs (including quality)
\n\tPlan, co-ordinate and monitor risk based in-service training programs.
\n\tParticipate in incident investigation.
\n\tParticipate in hospital quality projects, provide feedback, identify deviations and take remedial action where necessary.
\n\tIdentify risks and competence in use of products through in-service training.
\n\tEffective management of internal and approved external student clinical programs (i.e. planning, facilitating and evaluating)
\n\tParticipate in the selection process of internal and external students
\n\tAssist College with practical examinations
\n\tEnsure the correct management of student administration and resources
\n\tIdentify relevant learning opportunities and facilitate clinical skills development
\n\tProvide feedback on the progress of the students both to the Learning Centre and HOD
\n\tSupport students with research projects in the hospital environment
\n\tEffective research on relevant clinical practices
\n\tIdentify and formulate a plan of action relating to clinical delivery problems
\n\tEffective marketing of the nursing profession
\n\tParticipate in the marketing of the professional image of the nursing profession
\n\tParticipate in marketing initiatives with students and learning centers in order to promote nursing as a career
\n\tParticipate with students in community events to promote the hospital<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tDiploma\/Degree in Nursing (with appropriate specialization)
\n\tPost registration nursing experience within relevant healthcare environment
\n\tCurrent registration with SANC and Registered Assessor with SANC
\n\tProven clinical leadership expertise
\n\tSpecific knowledge and understanding of the legislation governing the practice of nursing
\n\tKnowledge of nursing education systems and legislation
\n\tComputer proficiency
\n\tDriver\u2019s license and ability to travel<\/p>\n
