The Head of Cloud is responsible for leading the strategic direction, design, implementation, and management of the organization’s cloud infrastructure and services. This role ensures that cloud solutions align with business goals, are cost-effective, secure, and scalable, and support innovation across the enterprise.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
Cloud Strategy & Leadership<\/p>\n
\tDefine and execute the enterprise cloud strategy across Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP), ensuring alignment with business objectives and technology roadmaps.
\n\tLead cloud transformation initiatives, including migration, modernization, and optimization efforts across multi-cloud environments.
\n\tEvaluate emerging cloud technologies and trends to inform strategic decisions and maintain competitive advantage.
\n\tDevelop cloud governance frameworks and policies to ensure consistency, security, and compliance across platforms.
\n\tAct as the executive sponsor for cloud-related programs, driving stakeholder engagement and executive alignment.<\/p>\n
Architecture & Engineering<\/p>\n
\tOversee the design of cloud architectures that support business applications and data platforms.
\n\tEnsure high availability, scalability, and performance of cloud environments.
\n\tCollaborate with enterprise architects and security teams to ensure compliance and governance.<\/p>\n
Operations & Optimization<\/p>\n
\tManage cloud operations, including provisioning, monitoring, and incident response.
\n\tOptimize cloud spend and resource utilization through FinOps practices.
\n\tImplement automation and DevOps practices to streamline deployments and operations.<\/p>\n
Team Leadership & Collaboration<\/p>\n
\tBuild and lead a high-performing cloud engineering and operations team.
\n\tPartner with application development, data, and infrastructure teams to deliver integrated solutions.
\n\tAct as a cloud evangelist across the organization, promoting best practices and innovation.<\/p>\n
Risk & Compliance<\/p>\n
\tEnsure cloud environments meet regulatory, security, and privacy requirements.
\n\tDevelop and enforce cloud governance policies and frameworks.<\/p>\n
Required Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
\n\t10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 8 years in cloud architecture or engineering leadership.
\n\tProven experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
\n\tStrong understanding of cloud security, networking, and infrastructure-as-code.
\n\tExperience with DevOps, CI\/CD pipelines, and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes).
\n\tExcellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.<\/p>\n
Preferred Qualifications:<\/p>\n
\tCloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
\n\tExperience in regulated industries (e.g., finance, healthcare).
\n\tFamiliarity with FinOps, CloudOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.<\/p>\n
