ROLE SUMMARY:<\/p>\n
\tWe are seeking a passionate and dedicated isiZulu Teacher to join our College team from January 2026. The successful candidate will teach isiZulu at senior school level and play a key role in promoting the language, culture, and heritage within the school community.
\n\tThis role requires a teacher who can create dynamic, student-centred lessons that inspire confidence and a love of learning, while maintaining the high academic standards for which Reddam House is known.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
\tPlan, prepare, and deliver engaging isiZulu lessons that inspire and challenge students.
\n\tEstablish a supportive classroom environment that promotes active participation and respect for cultural diversity.
\n\tDemonstrate professionalism in punctuality, conduct, and high-quality lesson preparation.
\n\tEvaluate, reflect on, and refine teaching practice in line with IEB standards.
\n\tSupport students through additional lessons and mentoring as needed.
\n\tSet, assess, and mark all forms of student evaluation including tests, assignments, and exams.
\n\tProvide detailed and constructive report comments.
\n\tCommunicate effectively and promptly with parents and colleagues.
\n\tContribute to extracurricular activities and the broader cultural life of the school.
\n\tUphold and promote the ethos and values of Reddam House.<\/p>\n
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:<\/p>\n
\tA university degree in isiZulu, Languages, or a related field.
\n\tSACE registration and the legal right to work in South Africa.
\n\tCertified teaching status and a minimum of 5 years\u2019 teaching experience.
\n\tExperience teaching isiZulu at high school (Grades 8\u201312) level.
\n\tConfidence using ICT tools in teaching and assessment.
\n\tFamiliarity with the IEB curriculum.
\n\tA genuine passion for education and cultural enrichment.
\n\tExcellent classroom management and organisational skills.
\n\tA collaborative, positive, and flexible approach to teaching.
\n\tA commitment to continuous professional growth and innovation.
\n\tStrong interpersonal and communication skills.<\/p>\n
