\tAn opportunity has become available for a high caliber Operational Supervisor (Contract Supervisor) Operation. They play a critical role in coordinating activities, ensuring operational efficiency, and supervising a team of employees to achieve operational goals.
\n\tInitiates, plans, co-ordinates, motivates and supervises the operational activities in a division of the terminal\/depot which could despatch its product by rail, road and pipeline. Ensures that all customers receive efficient, timeous deliveries of products\/goods.<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tTertiary qualification in Logistics\/ Transportation Management\u00a0
\n\tCode EB divers license, EC drivers license an advantage\u00a0
\n\t2 years minimum experience in a senior supervisory position in the Transport Industry\u00a0
\n\t7 year minimum experience in a supervisory position\u00a0
\n\tComputer literate and with advance skill in MS Excel\u00a0
\n\tKnowledge of NBCRFI Main agreement\u00a0
\n\tTechnical Knowledge in regards to Tyres and Vehicle Maintenance\u00a0
\n\tSHEQ experience in the Transport Industry\u00a0
\n\tFamiliar with Mix Telematics and DriveCam systems\u00a0
\n\tUnderstanding of transport economics and finances\u00a0
\n\tDriven towards achieving production targets and upholding high standards.\u00a0
\n\tAble to communicate with, supervise and motivate employees to achieve targets\u00a0<\/p>\n
Duties & Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tOverseeing Routing and scheduling of delivery vehicles\u00a0
\n\tBriefing\/debriefing of Operational staff\u00a0
\n\tConducting multiple daily meetings with client\u00a0
\n\tEnsuring fleet is maintained & in the optimal condition to operate\/function under operational pressures\u00a0
\n\tEnsure that fleet road worthy test are done timeously and vehicles have valid license discs\u00a0
\n\tConducting SHEQ tasks. Toolbox talks, committee meetings, SHE inspections, etc.\u00a0
\n\tLiaising with mechanical workshop, the client, suppliers, regional management and head office on a daily basis\u00a0
\n\tSupervise on site suppliers\u00a0
\n\tEnsuring strict compliance with NBCRFI main agreement\u00a0
\n\tStaff wages\/overtime control\u00a0
\n\tVehicle fuel consumption monitoring\u00a0
\n\tOnsite fuel bowser control\u00a0
\n\tReview Mix Telematics reports and take necessary action\u00a0
\n\tCoach DriveCam events and take necessary action\u00a0
\n\tEnsuring optimal utilization of fleet & staff to meet operational targets\u00a0
\n\tEnsuring operations administration is processed accurately and timeously\u00a0
\n\tCost control, reviewing quotes and invoices\u00a0
\n\tMonitor of CPKs and review of income statements\u00a0
\n\tSupervising day to day activities<\/p>\n
