Requirements<\/p>\n
Minimum Education \/ Training<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 (Matric)
\n\tQualified Technician\u00a0(Agricultural)<\/p>\n
Minimum Work Experience<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of 5 years\u2019 relevant experience after qualification, including exposure to management or supervisory functions
\n\tPrevious experience with John Deere Precision Technology (Agriculture, Construction, or Forestry) advantageous<\/p>\n
Key Performance Areas<\/p>\n
\tProvide expert technical support to technicians and branch teams on John Deere precision technology and integrated systems through ExpertConnect.
\n\tDiagnose and resolve complex issues related to precision guidance, telematics, and machine optimisation.
\n\tSupport proactive and predictive maintenance initiatives through systems such as JDLink, Expert Alerts, and Operations Center.
\n\tConduct internal and customer training to enhance digital literacy and technology adoption.
\n\tCollaborate with Sales, Service, and Parts teams to demonstrate technology value and ensure seamless solution delivery to customers.
\n\tBuild and maintain professional relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
\n\tReport on technical issues, recurring challenges, and improvement opportunities to drive continuous learning and operational efficiency.<\/p>\n
Technical Knowledge \/ Competencies<\/p>\n
\tStrong understanding of John Deere product range and integrated technology solutions
\n\tAdvanced computer literacy (JDLink, Operations Center, diagnostic tools, and related applications)
\n\tExcellent communication and coaching skills
\n\tHigh digital dexterity and ability to train others
\n\tValid driver\u2019s licence<\/p>\n
