Duties and Accountabilities:<\/p>\n
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<\/p>\n
\tProvide analytical, research, portfolio, and processing support to project teams;
\n\tCreate and analyze financial models;
\n\tReview and analyze historical and projected financial statements;
\n\tConduct industry and market research and assist in IFC\u2019s business development efforts;
\n\tElaborate pitchbooks and proposals for clients;
\n\tReview company information and prepare reports on periodic financial statements, project progress reports, and other information submitted by clients;
\n\tParticipate in all aspects of IFC\u2019s project processing cycle, from project development to asset management;\u00a0
\n\tPrepare documentation for IFC internal processes;
\n\tParticipate in investment negotiations;\u00a0
\n\tActively manage assigned investments in portfolio companies, including monitoring of compliance with IFC financial, environmental, insurance and legal requirements;
\n\tPreparing timely credit risk assessment reports and equity valuations; and\u00a0
\n\tTracking development results throughout the project cycle.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Selection Criteria<\/p>\n
\tA bachelor\u2019s degree from a renowned university (preferably with a specialization in Finance, Business, or Economics \u2013 enrollment in the CFA program is a plus);
\n\tExperience in a financial institution (2+ years) with a proven track record (international exposure desired) \u2013 ideally with experience in corporate or project finance;
\n\tExcellent knowledge of Excel and ability to develop complex financial models, including discount cash flow models, loan valuation models, and other models as needed;\u00a0
\n\tExperience in infrastructure-related projects will be a plus;
\n\tStrong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as sound business judgment to identify issues and present creative and practical solutions;
\n\tAbility to work successfully in multicultural teams and across boundaries;
\n\tDemonstrated quantitative, financial analysis and modelling skills;
\n\tDemonstrated teamwork skills;
\n\tProactive initiative taker \u2013 helping transaction leads without having to be asked;
\n\tAbility to manage and complete multiple projects\/tasks simultaneously and to meet deadlines under pressure;
\n\tKeen interest in emerging markets;
\n\tWillingness and ability to travel on short notice as required;
\n\tExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\u00a0
\n\tFluency in English is required. \u00a0Knowledge of other regional languages, such as French and\/or Portuguese, is a plus.<\/p>\n
