ROLE SUMMARY:<\/p>\n
\tTo adopt a holistic view to students in their care, promoting the general progress and well-being of individuals and of any class or group assigned to them. \u00a0To create a positive learning and sports environment and motivate students to achieve their full potential.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
\tPlan, prepare and present interesting and exciting lessons.
\n\tEstablish a teaching environment that is nurturing, and which promotes engaged learning.
\n\tBehave in a professional manner with regards to punctuality, behaviour, standards of work and students\u2019 homework.
\n\tEvaluate, reflect on and refine teaching practice.
\n\tBe open to continuously develop ones teaching through personal and school wide professional development.
\n\tTeach extra lessons, when required, on two afternoons per week.
\n\tProduce resources of a high standard for students.
\n\tRespond to e-mails and telephone messages from parents within 24 hours.
\n\tShow loyalty to all facets of Reddford House.
\n\tAttend all special occasions at the discretion of the relevant Head.
\n\tSet and mark exams and all other forms of student evaluation.
\n\tWrite report comments.
\n\tThe post holder is required to undertake any other reasonable tasks that the School Head\/line manager determine.<\/p>\n
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:<\/p>\n
\tAble to set clear expectations and stretching goals.
\n\tAdaptable teaching style incorporating feedback.
\n\tA depth of understanding in the relevant subject area.
\n\tAbility to judge learning effectiveness.
\n\tExcellent preparation and planning.
\n\tAssessment of student outcomes and feedback to enhance performance.
\n\tGenuine care and attention for the highest standards of student welfar
\n\tA minimum of 2 years experience.
\n\tConfidence with use of ICT in teaching.
\n\tPrevious experience with IEB\/CAPS programmes.
\n\tUniversity degree in appropriate subject.
\n\tCertified Teaching Status\/SACE.<\/p>\n
