Purpose of the role\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tTo perform minor repairs and general maintenance of the stores. This role reports to the Business Controller.<\/p>\n
Key Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tMaintaining records of any work and inspections done on-premises
\n\tPerforming inventory on repair supplies
\n\tKeeping repair tools and supplies clean and organized
\n\tSetting up repair appointments with mechanics or electricians when needed
\n\tMaking and installing new furniture or equipment
\n\tEnsuring all safety systems are functioning properly, including smoke, generator, sprinkler, air coolers ect.
\n\tConducting routine maintenance on equipment and building systems
\n\tCompleting safety checks on systems and equipment
\n\tDoing pest control, pool maintenance and landscaping
\n\tPerforming general maintenance tasks for the building or buildings, such as window washing, drywall repair, plastering, carpentry, flooring repair, painting and more
\n\tDetecting, identifying and repairing building issues, like basic problems with the building’s electrical, plumbing and HVAC systems
\n\tResponding to and completing tenant or supervisor maintenance requests.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
The successful candidate should have the following skills, experience and attributes:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12
\n\tElectricity and\/or Plumbing experience
\n\tNOSA Certification (Introduction to Health and Safety Act)
\n\tMinimum 3 years of experience at a retail store\u00a0
\n\tSolid maintenance understanding
\n\tSolid knowledge in maintenance and upkeep of facilities (movable and immovable properties)
\n\tService mentality, planning and organization skills
\n\tReceptive attitude
\n\tGood communication skills
\n\tTime Management\u00a0<\/p>\n
