Key Purpose<\/p>\n
\tTo lead and manage all joint finance functions across both insurance and non-insurance business lines, including but not limited to VAT, budgeting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. The primary focus of this role is to drive automation and implement efficiencies within financial processes, ensuring streamlined operations and enhanced control across all areas of the business.<\/p>\n
Areas of responsibility may include but are not limited to<\/p>\n
Finance Reporting efficiencies and controls<\/p>\n
\tDrive automation initiatives to improve accuracy, speed, and efficiency of financial processes.
\n\tIdentify and implement process improvements across VAT, reporting and regulatory submissions.
\n\tEnsure robust financial controls are in place and continuously improved.
\n\tConduct regular reviews with cost centre managers to maintain financial discipline\u00a0<\/p>\n
Budgeting & Tax Compliance<\/p>\n
\tInvolved in budgeting process across all lines of business.
\n\tMonitor and report on budget performance.
\n\tManage VAT and Income tax compliance and reporting across multiple business units.<\/p>\n
Reporting & Analysis<\/p>\n
\tPrepare and analyse monthly financial reports across all entities.
\n\tEnsure timely and accurate month-end and year-end reporting.
\n\tSupport the preparation of Board packs and strategic financial presentations.
\n\tReview and improve financial reconciliations and reporting tools.\u00a0<\/p>\n
\u00a0Stakeholder Engagement<\/p>\n
\tLiaise with external regulatory bodies including Prudential Authority, NCR, \u00a0SASRIA, and SARB.
\n\tCollaborate with external auditors and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and transparency.
\n\tRepresent finance in cross-functional projects aimed at improving business-wide efficiency.<\/p>\n
Knowledge and Skills<\/p>\n
\tAdvanced financial acumen and analytical skills.
\n\tStrong understanding of both insurance and non-insurance financial environments.
\n\tProven experience in implementing automation and process improvements.
\n\tExcellent communication and leadership capabilities.
\n\tProficiency in financial systems and tools.<\/p>\n
