\tTo support the finance department by managing day to day banking transaction, reconciling bank accounts, and\u00a0ensuring accurate and timely financial processing in line with company policies and procedures.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Cashbook<\/p>\n
\tCapture daily bank transactions (approximately 1000 transactions per month), accurately and timeously.
\n\tReconcile all bank accounts (RSA and International) on a weekly basis.
\n\tIdentify, investigate and clear unreconciled items promptly.
\n\tMaintain proper records of all bank transactions and reconciliation reports.
\n\tPrepare and process electronic payments and intercompany transfers.<\/p>\n
General<\/p>\n
\tAssist with general financial requirements.
\n\tEnsure adherence to internal controls, financial policies, and approval procedures.
\n\tMaintain confidentiality and accuracy in all financial records.
\n\tAssist with preparation for internal and external audits.
\n\tAssist in implementing best practices for banking and cash management.<\/p>\n
QUALIFICATIONS<\/p>\n
\tMatric.
\n\tBookkeeping or finance-related qualification.<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\t2 \u2013 4 years of experience in bookkeeping and cashbook.<\/p>\n
SKILLS, QUALITIES AND ABILITIES REQUIRED<\/p>\n
\tEthical and trustworthy.
\n\tStrong administration and organisational skills.
\n\tExcellent attention to detail.
\n\tProficient in MS Excel and financial systems (experience with Sage X3 or similar ERP systems advantageous).\u00a0
\n\tStrong communication skills.
\n\tNumerical aptitude with sound understanding of financial principles and reconciliations.<\/p>\n
