Support: Centre for Academic Technologies) \n\n\n            \n\n            \n            Senior Researcher (P7) (Faculty of Humanities: SARChI Chair: African Diplomacy and Foreign Policy) \n\n\n            \n\n            \n            Lecturer (Faculty of Science: Department of Zoology) \n\n\n            \n\n            \n            Coordinator I: Academic (P9) (College of Business and Economics: School of Consumer Intelligence and Information Systems: Department of Applied Information Systems) (Re-advert)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Job Purpose: \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tThis role is responsible for supporting initiatives that enhance the university\u2019s reputation and brand visibility by coordinating marketing and communication activities in line with the university\u2019s strategic objectives.<\/p>\n<p>Responsibilities: \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tSupport the implementation of the university\u2019s marketing and brand initiatives in alignment with established strategies and goals.<br \/>\n\tCommunication materials that reflect the university\u2019s vision and values.<br \/>\n\tCoordinate the execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring messaging aligns with the university\u2019s focus on academic excellence, student experience, innovation, and societal impact.<br \/>\n\tAct as a point of contact for brand-related queries, ensuring consistent application of messaging, tone, and visual identity across assigned projects and platforms.<br \/>\n\tMonitor the use of the university\u2019s corporate identity in materials and communications and flag deviations from brand standards for correction.<br \/>\n\tSupport the adoption of new branding style and standards in line with the evolved industry standards<br \/>\n\tSelect and book above-the-line media for advertising campaigns that are budget-aligned and targeted to specific audiences.<br \/>\n\tProduce and adapt print, radio, social media, and online advertisements from existing marketing materials, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.<br \/>\n\tLiaise with internal teams, suppliers, and media outlets to ensure accurate and timely delivery of advertising materials.<br \/>\n\tTrack campaign progress and assist with reporting on performance against agreed objectives.<br \/>\n\tAdvertising of brand shop goods to the university.<br \/>\n\tCoordinate the creation of brand PR initiative working with other team in University Relations.<br \/>\n\tEnsure the brand marketing campaigns are supported by PR initiatives to ensure longevity.<br \/>\n\tDo Brand and PR reviews to ensure the UJ brand remains top of mind.<br \/>\n\tManage and monitor the consistent and proper use of the UJ Brand and Corporate Identity across all communication platforms, marketing materials and digital channels.<br \/>\n\tCollaborate with internal departments and external vendors to provide guidance and support on correct brand application, addressing any inconsistencies promptly.<\/p>\n<p>Minimum requirements<\/p>\n<p>\tA Bachelor\u2019s degree or BTech in Marketing, Brand Management, Communications, or a related field.<br \/>\n\tThree (3) to four (4) years\u2019 experience in marketing and brand roles, preferably in a corporate or higher education environment.<br \/>\n\tFamiliarity with brand, reputation management and PR concepts, ensuring consistent messaging and adherence to brand guidelines.<br \/>\n\tHigh proficiency in MS Office and design collaboration tools.<\/p>\n<p>Competencies and Behavioural Attributes:<\/p>\n<p>\tExcellent written and verbal communication.<br \/>\n\tCreativity, innovation, and attention to detail.<br \/>\n\tPlanning and organizational skills.<br \/>\n\tRelationship-building and stakeholder management.<br \/>\n\tUnderstanding of marketing law and new media trends.<\/p>\n<p>Recommendations:<\/p>\n<p>\tQualification in Business, Brand and Reputation Management and demonstration of previous experience.<\/p>\n<p>go to method of application \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Apply via company website ( http:\/\/www.uj.ac.za ) or<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":2,"featured_media":0,"template":"","meta":{"_promoted":"","_job_location":"","_application":"","_company_name":"University of Johannesburg","_company_website":"http:\/\/www.uj.ac.za","_company_tagline":"Vibrant, multicultural and dynamic, the University of Johannesburg (UJ) shares the pace and energy of cosmopolitan Johannesburg, the city whose name it carries.
