IVANPLATS (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Ivanhoe Mines, is advancing the development of its world-class palladium-rhodium-nickel-copper-gold project in the Limpopo Province near Mokopane. This unique mineral deposit will be exploited using large mechanised state-of-the-art underground mining methods, deploying the latest technology to \u00a0 develop this \u201cmine of the future\u201d.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Suitable candidates must possess the following minimum qualifications and skills:<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12
\n\tDiploma in Accounting or similar qualification
\n\tBCom Accounting degree preferred
\n\tSuitable candidates must have the following work experience:
\n\t5 years\u2019 experience in function, preferably in mining<\/p>\n
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:<\/p>\n
\tOversee the end-to-end accounts payable process, including invoice processing, expense management, and payment disbursement
\n\tEnsure and oversee all supplier invoices, statements are received within a month
\n\tEnsure capturing of supplier invoices within specified month
\n\tEnsure Accounts payable is updated and explanations given for suppliers older than 30 days
\n\tEnsure supplier payments done within 30 days of statement or as per payment terms
\n\tReview all Payment Jobs applied by AP team
\n\tReview, approve and post all invoice batches captured by AP team
\n\tReview and approve all payments prepared by AP team – Local and Foreign
\n\tReview and approve all payment reconciliations and do 1st release on bank – Local and Foreign
\n\tNew deal (spot) bookings – Foreign Payment
\n\tDirect involvement in the processing of valid expenses in accordance with company policies and procedures
\n\tAssist and oversee month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals and reconciliations
\n\tComplete month-end and year-end closing activities, including balance sheet reconciliations for Accounts Payable
\n\tEnsure and oversee that all team members have clearly defined job profiles
\n\tLead AP Team performance review and career development plan
\n\tEnsure workload is balanced within the AP team
\n\tEnsure support, coaching and mentoring is continuously provided to ensure that objectives are met<\/p>\n

\tAssist with Supplier Bank Detail Verification
\n\tComplete and maintain supplier credit applications and credit limits
\n\tReview and approve Procurement approved Supplier applications and revisions on Supplier Portal
\n\tParticipate in audits and assist auditors in providing necessary documentation and explanations
\n\tAlways assist with any additional work relating to finance when required.<\/p>\n
