Purpose of the role<\/p>\n
\tSupport the Service Centre with estimations, planning, coordination and successful execution of new spare parts, assemblies, components or equipment for local manufacture.<\/p>\n
Your responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tExtracting components and quantities from drawings and providing a total preliminary cost for manufacturing or refurbishment.
\n\tCompiling and \/ or verification of bill of quantities.
\n\tDetermine in and outsourcing requirements.
\n\tSetting up and completing of costing sheets and evaluation sheets.
\n\tEnsure that cost estimates are accurate and in line with the Scope of Work.
\n\tPreparing vendor enquires and adjudication \/ verification of offers in order to incorporate customer and design specifications.
\n\tSetting up and maintaining filing system for estimations.
\n\tLiaising with stakeholders from various departments (Spares, Project Managers, Engineering) regarding technical specifications, requirements and progress on a day-to-day basis.
\n\tQuery design drawing information for lower cost alternatives. (Value engineering)
\n\tCompiling the IFC Packages and timesheets for production execution.
\n\tExpedite supply of raw materials and buy outs.
\n\tCompile high level project plans for long duration projects. (MS Projects)
\n\tTracking progress and expediting the supply of raw materials and buy outs and informing the relevant department of possible delays.
\n\tPlanning and execution using D365 ERP System.
\n\tHandover of completed orders to logistics.
\n\tProcessing of lose parts and final close out for production orders.
\n\tSourcing of new vendors and maintaining good relations with existing suppliers.
\n\tMust be able to independently manage a challenging workload when faced with unexpected changes in priorities and deadlines.<\/p>\n
What you bring<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma in Mechanical engineering.
\n\tQualified Fitter & Turner or Turner Machinist is a must
\n\tExperience in a workshop environment.
\n\tProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Microsoft Office programs.
\n\tProficient in Microsoft Project
\n\tAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, strong time management skills.
\n\tAbility to establish good connections with a broad range of people and a team player.
\n\tIndividual should possess a sense of urgency, be proactive, customer-driven, and motivated.
\n\tKnowledgeable of various parts and assemblies by part number and physical appearance
\n\tKnowledge of ERP-based applications (D365 F&O)-added advantage.
\n\tDemonstrated ability to deliver in a fast-paced, changing environment while maintaining high attention to detail.
\n\tPerseverance and an ability to prioritize and execute tasks to meet deadlines.<\/p>\n
