Job Summary:<\/p>\n
\tAs a Trade Lifecycle Analyst in the Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) Equity Markets Operations team, you will support the SA Equities franchise. Your role will involve executing strategic initiatives and ensuring effective trade support and lifecycle management. Join us to contribute to the Lines of Business, including Cash Equities, Index Forward Trading, Prime Finance, and Delta 1.<\/p>\n
Job Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tCreate a robust control environment and efficient operating model, performing all relevant control reconciliations, including stock\/cash positions and FOBO reconciliations.
\n\tUnderstand dual management systems and introduce control procedures to ensure system synchronization.
\n\tCapture trades in BDA & JPM corporate systems, including account opening and static data processes.
\n\tLiaise with sales\/traders, clients, custodians, and internal JPM colleagues to ensure timely and accurate transaction processing and settlement. Develop and maintain effective client\/customer and stakeholder relationships.
\n\tAppropriately escalate and report any pertinent issues.
\n\tOwn and resolve all daily tasks and any extraordinary issues that arise.
\n\tSupport new initiatives or system implementations, including new products and processes.
\n\tMeet all MIS and reporting deadlines.
\n\tMaintain standard operating procedures.<\/p>\n
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:<\/p>\n
\t3+ years of experience
\n\tB.Com degree or equivalent business qualification
\n\tThorough understanding and appreciation of a sound operations control environment
\n\tSolid understanding of South African equities market conventions
\n\tThorough understanding of the trade lifecycle and events management
\n\tStrong analytical skills for root cause analysis on related processes and controls
\n\tSolutions-oriented to increase STP and mitigate recurring risk events
\n\tStrong communication skills (both written and verbal)
\n\tAbility to prioritize and coordinate workflows effectively
\n\tAbility to work well under pressure
\n\tKey personality traits: Integrity, self-starter with initiative, strong team player, innovative, deadline\/control-oriented, growth mindset, emotional intelligence<\/p>\n
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:<\/p>\n
\tExtensive BDA experience is advantageous
\n\tProficiency in Excel
\n\tUnderstanding of South African equities market conventions
\n\tRelevant South African equities operations experience
\n\tExperience working with an international bank is advantageous
