\tThe Transport Controller`s primary purpose is to assist and support with organizing the logistics of the Gauteng Transport Department operations, ensure smooth operation and that the requirements of the Transport Department clients are met.<\/p>\n
JOB DESCRIPTION<\/p>\n
\tManage day to day transport service requirements.
\n\tDispatching \/ Debriefing drivers.
\n\tDaily tracking reports and updates.
\n\tFirst point of contact for Drivers.
\n\tEnsure highest possible customer service levels.
\n\tEnsure that the fleet is in a roadworthy condition and conforms to company policy in terms of branding and cleanliness.
\n\tOversee truck drivers, ensure and guide adherence to procedures.
\n\tLiaise with management in respect of any Driver related issues that arise.
\n\tEnsure Occupational Health and Safety requirements are adhered to.
\n\tCapture incident reports and distribute them timeously to all the stake holders.
\n\tCapture and report faults and breakdowns on trucks timeously.
\n\tCompletion of accessories (Cell phones and Tag) forms and issue paperwork
\n\tConducting monthly Cell and accessories audits and reports.
\n\tSubmit daily check sheets to the administrators.
\n\tBooking of appointments for Drivers for medicals and HR meetings.
\n\tOrdering and issuing PPE for existing drivers.
\n\tConducting truck and equipment audits.<\/p>\n
QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\tA minimum Grade 12 certificate.
\n\tMinimum 3 – 5 years\u2019 fleet Controlling experience.
\n\tProven knowledge in working with fleet tracking systems.
\n\tComputer literate \u2013 MS Office, internet and e-mail.
\n\tTransport Management qualification advantageous.
\n\tGeographical knowledge of Gauteng and surrounding areas.
\n\tAbility to speak in multiple African languages is advantageous.<\/p>\n
