OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE JOB<\/p>\n
\tTo assist the Forensic Services Department minimise the impact of financial crime and misconduct through timeous high quality investigative interventions and ensure that SACAA\u2019s assets and interests are protected including mitigating exposures and providing a first-class forensic investigatory service to stakeholders within the business.<\/p>\n
MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THIS POSITION<\/p>\n
Forensic Pro-active Service<\/p>\n
\tAssist Identifying areas where fraud risk management may be of further assistance to management in the achievement of goals and objectives of the department.
\n\tAssist in the provision of fraud training, awareness, and campaigns.
\n\tAssist promoting internal audit and forensic services in overall engagements
\n\tPromotes the fraud hotline.<\/p>\n
Operational Function \/ Management\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tConduct allocated forensic investigations according to required methodologies and standards.
\n\tInvestigate and follow-up on matters emanating from fraud hotline reports allocated by the management.
\n\tParticipate in conducting interviews, obtain statements\/affidavits, and gather factual evidence with regards to forensic investigations.
\n\tAnalyze information, statements\/affidavits, research, and evidence gathered.
\n\tProvide regular feedback on the progress of investigations to the Senior Manager.
\n\tAssist in the Fraud Awareness campaigns to SACAA officials and stakeholders.
\n\tCompile forensic investigation reports<\/p>\n
Document information and transaction flow<\/p>\n
\tUnderstands the relevant aspects of the areas that are under investigation.
\n\tMaintains chain of custody.<\/p>\n
Assist with the implementation of corrective actions<\/p>\n
\tPrepares evidence to support recommended corrective actions
\n\tInvestigate and provides evidence in corrective actions tribunals.
\n\tAssist liaising with law enforcement agencies.<\/p>\n
Perform unscheduled forensic activities<\/p>\n
\tAssists the internal audit team as and when requested by management.
\n\tParticipates in fraud risk management projects as and when requested or required.<\/p>\n
Communication and stakeholder management<\/p>\n
\tEnsures that investigation clients are regularly and timeously informed regarding commencement and progress of investigations.
\n\tEnsures that communication (written and verbal) with clients, peers and superiors are factual, regular, timeous and accurate.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
EDUCATION<\/p>\n
Minimum<\/p>\n
\tNational Diploma in Forensic Investigation or\u00a0 Forensic Auditing or Law\u00a0 or relevant\u00a0 NQF level 6 qualification.<\/p>\n
Ideal<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s Degree \/ Advanced Diploma at NQF level 7
\n\tCertified Fraud Examiner (CFE)<\/p>\n
EXPERIENCE<\/p>\n
\t1 year experience in\u00a0Forensic Investigation or\u00a0Fraud Management or Fraud\u00a0Risk Management \/ Assessments<\/p>\n
