Main Purpose of the Job<\/p>\n
\tThe Area Manager is responsible for managing customer relationships by delivering high-quality customer service and overseeing the installation and repair of Booyco Electronic safety equipment. This role focuses on business growth through cross-selling to existing customers and generating new business. The Area Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, coordinate with teams to meet targets, maintain safety standards, ensure compliance, and uphold SLA agreements.<\/p>\n
Education, experience and competencies<\/p>\n
\tMatric and National Diploma (Engineering, Operations, or Business Management), Bachelor\u2019s Degree (preferred)
\n\t5\u20138 years\u2019 experience in operations or field services, with at least 3 years in a leadership or regional management role within mining, manufacturing, or industrial environments.
\n\tSolid understanding of MHSA, OHSA, Section 21 files, risk assessments, and site compliance.
\n\tProven ability to manage multi-site teams, budgets, and performance outcomes.
\n\tExcellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
\n\tProficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and familiar with ERP or operational systems (e.g., BECS).
\n\tMedically fit for site visits and inspections.
\n\tValid driver\u2019s licence and willingness to travel regionally<\/p>\n
Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tBuild Lead and manage regional operations across multiple mining and industrial client sites.
\n\tDrive customer satisfaction through proactive engagement and consistent service excellence.
\n\tConduct regular branch and site audits to ensure compliance with MHSA, OHSA, and company standards.
\n\tOversee financial performance, including budgets, cost optimisation, invoicing, and profitability.
\n\tMaintain compliance with Section 21 files and risk management procedures.
\n\tEnsure operational efficiency and timely resolution of deviations and non-conformances.
\n\tLead, mentor, and develop a regional team of Account Managers and Superintendents.
\n\tSupport business development initiatives and identify new growth opportunities within the region.
\n\tEnsure accurate and timely submission of operational and financial reports.
\n\tPromote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
