Job Description
\nSupport the audit practice\u2018s System of Quality controls and the implementation and application of the auditing standards, methodology and applicable regulations through<\/p>\n
\tInternal inspections \/ Engagement monitoring
\n\tPerforming an independent risk focused review of engagement files under the continuous monitoring programme
\n\tIdentifies non-compliance with methodology and auditing standards
\n\tDevelop high-performing people and teams, leading and supporting them to make an impact that matters, and setting the direction to deliver exceptional client service
\n\tUses experience, research and the ISA\/Deloitte Methodology to develop solutions to issues identified on internal inspections and designs\/suggests best practices to be used by practitioners in addressing identified deficiencies
\n\tHolding constructive discussions, challenging senior members of the engagement team on the appropriateness of and approach to identified audit risks
\n\tLiaising with engagement teams on resolution of any issues
\n\tProviding added value for engagement teams and the wider audit practice, supporting them in performing quality audits by collating insights and considering their wider communication throughout the firm
\n\tAbility to perform causal factor analysis to identify the root cause of a problem
\n\tAbility to challenge remediation plans
\n\tSupport practitioners through external and regulatory inspections
\n\tPerform a variety of monitoring functions across the audit practice including independence, AWM monitoring<\/p>\n
Qualifications<\/p>\n
\tHonours Accounting Degree
\n\tRegistered CA(SA)
\n\t7 years working experience: 5 years in a client facing role; 3 of these in a management role.\u00a0
\n\tAudit experience in the financial services industries – \u00a0primarily banking, insurance, retirement funds and medical schemes.<\/p>\n
