Job Description<\/p>\n
\tProduce infrastructure models and drawings in accordance in accordance with accepted Engineering practice and Wood draughting procedures.
\n\tTo work in a safe manner, complying with and actively contributing to Health, Safety and Environmental HSE policies, manuals and procedures. At all times considering the health, safety and welfare of fellow workers, visitors, clients, community and the environment.<\/p>\n
Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tCreate graphical representations of civil infrastructure (earthworks, roads, stormwater, sewer, pipelines, channels etc.)
\n\tReview, interpret and correlate topographical survey data for import into design software.
\n\tAssist Engineers to carry out road and stormwater designs.
\n\tAssist Engineers to carry out network analysis for water and sewer pipelines
\n\tCalculate earthworks volumes and assist with material take-off\u2019s required for Bills of Quantities.
\n\tReview sketches, drawings, specifications, geotechnical and other data received from Civil Engineers to ensure design standards and best engineering practices are adopted.
\n\tTimely completion of drawings to schedules.
\n\tAdherence to project man-hour budgets.
\n\tAdherence to Standards and Procedures.
\n\tAssist with training of junior draughts persons.
\n\tProduction of drawings on time and within budget.
\n\tClarity and accuracy of drawings.
\n\tKnowledge and adherence to CAD Procedures.
\n\tKnowledge of and adherence to applicable standards and Drafting Procedures.
\n\tCompletion of error free drawings to sound engineering practices.
\n\tTo actively pursue excellent Health, Safety and Environmental performance standards and to encourage all staff to achieve or out perform the indicated HSE KPI\u2019s<\/p>\n
Qualifications:\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tDiploma in Civil Engineering (preferred)<\/p>\n
Knowledge, skills and experience:<\/p>\n
\tMinimum of 10 years design draughting experience.
\n\tProduce drawings using computer modelling and drafting software specifically AutoCAD Civil 3D.\u00a0
\n\tBroad knowledge of construction and operations.
\n\tGood understanding of technology.
\n\tExperience with infrastructure facilities design and layout specific to mining & process plants
\n\tUnderstanding of other discipline requirements.
\n\tChecking skills with ability to work unsupervised, focus on task completion<\/p>\n
The following knowledge, skills and experience will be advantageous:<\/p>\n
\tDrafting and detailing of concrete structures and associated rebar schedules.
\n\tArchitectural knowledge.<\/p>\n
