Purpose of the Job<\/p>\n
\tThis role is responsible for driving sales growth by meeting monthly targets, developing new business, and maintaining strong relationships with existing customers. Key responsibilities include quoting and closing battery orders, conducting site surveys, resolving customer issues, and ensuring service delivery aligns with company standards.<\/p>\n
Sales Performance<\/p>\n
\tMeet monthly sales targets
\n\tDevelop new customers and grow existing customer base
\n\tClose new business deals and maintain existing sales
\n\tTarget national accounts
\n\tGenerate own leads via cold calling and referrals
\n\tProspect customers and add value to every call<\/p>\n
Order Management & Delivery<\/p>\n
\tResponsible for quoting, closing, and delivering battery orders
\n\tComplete quotes and proposals
\n\tPerform site surveys before delivering equipment
\n\tFacilitate handover on site<\/p>\n
Customer Relationship Management<\/p>\n
\tBuild relationships and create customer trust
\n\tResolve customer complaints by investigating problems and developing solutions
\n\tEnsure service supplied is relevant to current customer requirements<\/p>\n
\u00a0Market Intelligence & Product Knowledge<\/p>\n
\tMonitor competition: pricing, products, delivery schedules, merchandising
\n\tKnow the opposition in your area
\n\tRecommend changes in products, services, and policies based on competitive developments
\n\tEnsure product knowledge is updated regularly
\n\tMaintain professional and technical knowledge
\n\tReporting & Administration
\n\tSubmit activity and results reports: daily call reports, weekly schedules, monthly\/annual territory analysis
\n\tSubmit monthly fuel reports
\n\tAttend weekly sales meetings<\/p>\n
Operational Support & Compliance<\/p>\n
\tAssist in relevant operational functions as required
\n\tAdhere to and enforce company policies and procedures
\n\tEnsure Value service levels are maintained per SOPs
\n\tMaintain professional conduct
\n\tEnsure dress code aligns with SOPs
\n\tMaintain daily housekeeping standards
\n\tEnsure Health and Safety standards are upheld<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12 (Matric) \u2013 Advantageous
\n\t3 to 5 years related sales experience
\n\tTechnical sales will be beneficial
\n\tProven track record related to sales achieved for the last 12 months
\n\tCertificate\/degree in sales is beneficial<\/p>\n
