ROLE SUMMARY:<\/p>\n
\tWe are seeking a passionate Early Childhood Development Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic Zig Zag team. The successful candidate will work closely with the teaching team to create an engaging, nurturing, and inspiring environment where young learners can thrive.
\n\tYou will play a vital role in supporting holistic child development, academically, socially, and emotionally, ensuring that every child feels valued and supported in their early learning journey.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
\tSupport the planning, preparation, and delivery of engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities.
\n\tFoster a nurturing environment that promotes curiosity, creativity, and active learning.
\n\tSupport classroom routines and ensure a calm, safe, and stimulating learning space.
\n\tAssist in the preparation of high-quality learning materials and resources.
\n\tObserve, record, and provide feedback on children\u2019s progress to teachers and parents.
\n\tBuild positive relationships with children, staff, and parents, maintaining open and professional communication.
\n\tContribute to assessment, reporting, and reflection on learning outcomes.
\n\tParticipate actively in professional development opportunities and whole-school events.
\n\tDemonstrate loyalty, professionalism, and commitment to the school\u2019s ethos and values.<\/p>\n
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:<\/p>\n
\tA relevant university degree and Certified Teaching Status\/SACE.
\n\tMinimum 3 years\u2019 experience supporting or teaching in an Early Childhood setting.
\n\tExperience in a Reggio-inspired environment or familiarity with IEB\/CAPS curricula.
\n\tPrevious experience in a high-performing international school environment.
\n\tConfidence using ICT to enhance learning and communication.
\n\tA deep understanding of early childhood development and child-centered learning.
\n\tExcellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
\n\tA nurturing and patient approach, with genuine care for children\u2019s welfare.
\n\tA collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for working in a dynamic team.
\n\tA proactive, adaptable mindset and a positive attitude towards continuous improvement.
\n\tCommitment to Inspired\u2019s teaching standards and to maintaining the highest professional expectations.<\/p>\n
