Job Summary<\/p>\n
\tThe Registered Nurse will promote and deliver quality patient care and wellness in accordance with industry standards and to execute Nursing duties within the standards, procedures and protocols set down by the South African Nursing Council and Scope of Practice.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:<\/p>\n
\tCur\/Diploma in General Nursing
\n\tRelevant Psychiatric Qualification
\n\tBLS
\n\t3 years\u2019 Experienced in Wellness Nursing
\n\tExperience within a private hospital environment advantageous<\/p>\n
Minimum Duties<\/p>\n
\tPerform all duties in accordance with South African Nursing Council (SANC), Department of Health (DOH) and National Core Standards.
\n\tAdhere to the principles and standards of Patient Advocacy according to SANC Acts and Omissions, Company Code of Conduct, Patient Rights and Responsibilities Charter, National Millennium Development goals and responsibility of Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
\n\tSupervise, organize, lead and control work for self and team to ensure efficient completion of tasks.
\n\tDevise a working knowledge of, and understand the Nursing Strategy, in order to contribute towards unit goals.
\n\tProvide round the clock care to premature and severely ill new-born infants.
\n\tPerform essential medical procedures relevant to wellness wards
\n\tRemain up to date on the latest developments, rules and regulations therapeutics and medication and treatment procedures of wellness and psychiatric patients
\n\tProvide guidance and advice, whilst applying good clinical judgment, to other Nursing staff working in the wellness setting and regarding the safe and effective use of paediatric care technologies
\n\tConduct psychiatric nursing evaluations and ensure all required documents are completed
\n\tForm therapeutic nurse \/ patient relationships and provide counselling inline with qualifications and scope of practice<\/p>\n
