Position Summary<\/p>\n
\tThe Guest Management & Experience Lead is responsible for designing and executing a world-class guest experience strategy for all BAL and NBA Africa events. This role ensures seamless coordination of logistics, hospitality, ticketing, and communications for VIPs, dignitaries, partners, and other key stakeholders attending BAL events.<\/p>\n
Major Responsibilities<\/p>\n
\tGuest Experience Strategy & Execution
\n\tDevelop and implement guest management protocols across all BAL events.
\n\tDesign tailored experiences for different guest categories (VIPs, sponsors, government officials, NBA executives, etc.).
\n\tEnsure consistent delivery of high-touch hospitality across venues and cities.<\/p>\n
Logistics & Operations<\/p>\n
\tOversee travel, accommodation, transportation, and on-site support for guests.
\n\tCoordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely and accurate execution of guest logistics.
\n\tManage guest registration and ticketing processes.<\/p>\n
Stakeholder Engagement<\/p>\n
\tServe as the primary point of contact for high-level guests before, during, and after events.
\n\tCollaborate with NBA and BAL departments (e.g., Partnerships, Communications, Security) to align guest needs with league priorities.
\n\tMaintain strong relationships with hotels, transport providers, and local authorities.<\/p>\n
Team Leadership & Coordination<\/p>\n
\tLead and train guest management staff and volunteers across host cities.
\n\tDevelop SOPs and training materials to ensure consistent service delivery.
\n\tMonitor performance and provide feedback to improve guest experience operations.
\n\tReporting & Continuous Improvement
\n\tTrack guest satisfaction and feedback to inform future improvements.
\n\tPrepare post-event reports and debriefs for internal stakeholders.
\n\tStay current on best practices in sports hospitality and guest services.<\/p>\n
Required Skills\/Knowledge<\/p>\n
\tStrong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
\n\tFluent in English and French; other languages a plus.
\n\tWillingness to travel extensively during the BAL season.
\n\tPassion for African sports and culture.
\n\tAbility to remain calm and professional under pressure.<\/p>\n
Experience\u00a0Needed<\/p>\n
\t7+ years of experience in guest services, hospitality, or event operations, preferably in sports or entertainment.
\n\tProven ability to manage high-profile guests and complex logistics across multiple locations.
\n\tExperience working in multicultural environments.
\n\tEducational Background Required
\n\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Hospitality Management, Event Management, Business Administration, Public Relations, or a related field.
\n\tPMP (Project Management Professional), CMP (Certified Meeting Professional), or similar credentials can be a plus.<\/p>\n
