PURPOSE OF THE JOB:<\/p>\n
\tThe main purpose of this position is to maintain the organization and efficiency of a warehouse. This role involves receiving, storing and shipping products, as well as keeping accurate records of inventory. The key responsibilities of the position are as follows, but not limited to:
\n\tReceiving and Inspecting Stock: Check incoming shipments for accuracy and damage..
\n\tOrganizing and Storing Products: Ensure products are stored in the correct locations and maintain accurate inventory records.
\n\tInventory Management: Track inventory levels, update records and conduct periodic physical inventories.
\n\tMaintain Cleanliness: To ensure that the warehouse environment is kept clean and tidy by keeping shelves, pallets area and workstations neat.
\n\tPreparing of daily orders: To print Job Cards and issue cards to Production on time ensuring that the SLA is not missed.
\n\tCommunication: To communicate to concerned recipients about all received materials, book shipments, update schedule and allocate invoices of shipments and parcels.
\n\tTo also ensure that their job goals are completed by striving for Quality, Trust and Security at all times.
\n\tTo be considered for this role under the \u201cYes4Youth\u201d Learnership program, the following requirements are non-negotiable
\n\tIdeal candidates should be unemployed at the time of contracting.
\n\tMust qualify as Youth candidates and therefore must be between the age of 18 \u2013 34 (Must not be turning 35 during the program)
\n\tMust meet the definition of \u201cBlack People,\u201d as defined in the Broad-Based Black Empowerment Act 53 of 2003, as amended by Act 46 of 213.
\n\tMust not have previously participated in a \u201cYes4Youth\u201d program.<\/p>\n
MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS: Higher certificate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Operations or Operations Management, or a related field.<\/p>\n
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE:<\/p>\n
\t0\u20131 year experience in an administrative or office support role. Internship or learnership experience will be considered.<\/p>\n
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & ABILITIES:<\/p>\n
\tMust be willing to work shifts.
\n\tAbility to stay engaged in routine work. Attention to detail.
\n\tIs highly self-motivated.
\n\tIs computer literate and efficient in MS Office, Excel and Outlook.<\/p>\n
