Job Purpose:<\/p>\n
\tTo provide support to the Reporting and Analytics team in preparing, reconciling, and maintaining accurate financial data. The role involves assisting with multi-currency forecasting, ERP bank statement postings, and local\/group reporting activities (Blendcore\/SAFREF, FCC (SA), and global reporting) to ensure data accuracy and timely reporting.<\/p>\n
Job Requirements
\nKey Responsibilities:<\/p>\n
\tAssist with preparing and maintaining multi-currency forecasts under supervision.
\n\tSupport in performing bank reconciliations and posting bank statements on the ERP system.
\n\tCollect and validate data for local and group reporting (Blendcore\/SAFREF, FCC (SA), and global submissions).
\n\tCompile basic financial reports and ensure supporting documents are accurate and complete.
\n\tReconcile financial data between various systems and assist in identifying discrepancies.
\n\tAssist with month-end and year-end reporting activities, ensuring deadlines are met.
\n\tWork closely with senior analysts and accountants to gain exposure to complex reporting tasks.
\n\tMaintain records and documentation in line with company and audit requirements.<\/p>\n
Key Skills and Competencies:<\/p>\n
\tBasic understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles.
\n\tGood knowledge of Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems (SAP or similar advantageous).
\n\tAnalytical mindset with attention to detail.
\n\tStrong numerical and problem-solving skills.
\n\tEagerness to learn and develop within a structured reporting and analytics environment.
\n\tEffective communication and teamwork skills.<\/p>\n
Experience and Education:<\/p>\n
\t1 \u2013 3 years of experience in reporting, analytics, or finance, ideally within the oil and gas sector.
\n\tDiploma\/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Analytics-related field.
\n\tExposure to global reporting and multicurrency environments will be advantageous.<\/p>\n
