\tTCTA seek to appoint a suitably qualified individual to monitor project compliance with all relevant legislations, Environmental Authorisations, Environmental Management Programme requirements and Water Use Licenses.\u00a0
\n\tThe individual will ensure that biodiversity and ecological impacts associated with construction activities are minimised, while maintaining accurate records and documentation of all related matters to uphold accountability and reporting standards.<\/p>\n
The Key Performance Areas of this position, amongst others, are:<\/p>\n
\tOversight of the Consultant supervisory and Contractor\u2019s construction activities
\n\tOversee and manage biodiversity, ecological impacts and related construction environmental issues.
\n\tMonitor and document waste management and pollution control measures.
\n\tOversight of Consultant supervisory and Contractor\u2019s mining activities on the borrow pits.
\n\tMonitoring of activities related to closure of ownerless and derelict borrow pits
\n\tOversee ongoing concurrent rehabilitation.
\n\tSupport the MCWAP-2A oversight in compliance with MCWAP-2A borrow and spoil site DMRE Environmental authorization (EA) and Environmental Management Programme (EMPR) \u2019s conditions.
\n\tAssist with quantifying environmental issues for reporting purposes.
\n\tEngage project stakeholders and affected landowners to address concerns related to environmental compliance requirements.<\/p>\n
Job Requirements<\/p>\n
\tAn NQF 7 B Degree or B Tech in Environmental Management\/Environmental Science or related applied environmental studies
\n\t5 years of Environmental Management work experience, preferably in large infrastructure projects
\n\tPreferably SACNASP registered<\/p>\n
