Purpose of the Job<\/p>\n
\tAn operator in production provides support in the operation of machines for a specific mine\/section\/plant within the Sasol Mining environment, to achieve production requirements in a safe manner.<\/p>\n
Functional Outputs (Critical tasks)\u00a0<\/p>\n
\tEnsure machine is constantly in a safe operable condition (completion of pre-check list)
\n\tDemonstrate skill in the operation of machine
\n\tExecution of daily tasks as per instructions and\/or planned schedule
\n\tIdentification of any abnormal conditions and reporting thereof<\/p>\n
High Level competencies<\/p>\n
\tOperate 1 mining production machine
\n\tApplying relevant knowledge and skills of machines, tools and equipment to adhere to standards and production targets.
\n\tVisual inspection of working environment ensuring safety standards are adhered to and reporting any unsafe conditions.
\n\tComplete assigned tasks accurately and ensure working areas and machinery are clean and in good condition.
\n\tFunction efficiently and effectively as part of a team to work towards achieving team goals.
\n\tSensitive on how your actions affect the cost of your team, identify and act on cost saving initiatives.<\/p>\n

Qualifications and experience<\/p>\n
\tGrade 12\/N3 (or equivalent) with a valid mining operating license
\n\tCompetent B Certificate (applicable to Roofbolters)
\n\tGas testing (5 gases)
\n\tAble to pass medical and have a clear security clearance.
\n\tCoal Mining Underground experience \u00a0<\/p>\n
