Purpose of the position:<\/p>\n
\tThis post will provide professional social work services within the context of an AYP programme. This will include providing department of social development (DSD) and contracted CBOs with technical assistance with screening and assessment, for mental health, drug and substance, sexual, emotional and physical violence, therapeutic social work services, first line counselling, support and referral<\/p>\n
Minimum Requirements\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tBachelor\u2019s degree in Social Work
\n\tMust have valid registration with the SA Council for Social Service Professionals
\n\tAccredited relevant post-graduate qualification will be an advantage
\n\tMinimum of three years\u2019 relevant experience in the DREAMS programme
\n\tExperienced facilitator
\n\tValid Code 08 Drivers License
\n\tCriminal clear<\/p>\n
Duties and Responsibilities\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/p>\n
\tStrengthen referrals and provide intake services for clients in the AYP programme
\n\tConduct mental health screening and risk assessment in order to respond or refer appropriately
\n\tEnsure that clients requiring urgent intervention are seen and \/or referred timeously,
\n\tProvide counselling intervention and psychosocial support to clients and AYP programme beneficiaries
\n\tProvide counselling services, including follow up sessions as is required on a case by case basis
\n\tProvide psychosocial support to clients individually or in groups with regard to mental health, sexual or other violence, and personal challenges which affect treatment adherence, risk behaviour and optimal functioning<\/p>\n
