PURPOSE<\/p>\n
\tThe role is responsible for maintenance and repairs of all machinery and related Processing Plant equipment\u2019s.<\/p>\n
RESPONSIBILITIES<\/p>\n
Safety, Health and Environment<\/p>\n
\tCarry and fulfil responsibilities of a MHSA Section 2.9.2 legal appointment.
\n\tMaintain FAMP policies, Standards and procedure requirements.
\n\tPreparation and execution of scheduled routine maintenance, in conjunction with production planning.
\n\tChampions the implementation of proactive maintenance and the elimination of reactive maintenance by implementing preventive and predictive maintenance programmes.
\n\tTo support operations by providing effective equipment maintenance ensuring equipment reliability and availability.
\n\tParts and inventory management.
\n\tControl maintenance costs effectively and prevent as far as possible over expenditure.<\/p>\n
Coordination<\/p>\n
\tIssuing of work schedules and job cards.
\n\tLead team to complying with company SHE strategy and zero harm frame-work
\n\tDevelop, review and agree the weekly maintenance plan with the Maintenance and Process team. Ensures safe execution.
\n\tReduce reaction times to breakdowns (MTTR) and increase mean time between failures (MTBF) through the effective implementation of maintenance best practices, systems and procedures.
\n\tOversee third party contractor maintenance and compliance.
\n\tMaintains an organised, clean and safe work area.
\n\tEvaluates condition monitoring status.<\/p>\n

\tEnsures maintenance logs and work order documentation on equipment inspection and repairs are maintained to required standard
\n\tPrepares month end performance report for engineer
\n\tGenerates cost report to site manager\/engineer.
\n\tEnsures all break downs are appropriately recorded by subordinates.<\/p>\n

\tSelect and appoint competent and passionate people.
\n\tSupervision, training and development of maintenance subordinates.
\n\tMaintain open channel communication with subordinates through daily meetings for two-way feedback.
\n\tMonitor performance & maintain discipline.
\n\tServe as a mentor to yearly intake of work integrated learning students.<\/p>\n
Requirements<\/p>\n
\tQUALIFICATIONS
\n\tN3 Mechanical\/Electrical Engineering subjects
\n\tTrade Test MQA\/MERSETA preferred
\n\tSupervisory Course (Advantageous)<\/p>\n

\tLearnership\/Apprentice in Mining\/construction\/transport\/plant or manufacturing 2 years
\n\tArtisan 3-5 years in Mining\/plant or manufacturing
\n\t3 Years management experience
\n\tExperience on Processing plant<\/p>\n

\tAbility to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
\n\tGood verbal and written communications.
\n\tStrong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving ability.
\n\tDemonstrated firm supervisory skills
\n\tComputer literacy: Excel Basic; Pragma Onkey basic.
\n\tKnowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering safe practice.
\n\tStrong technical skills and knowledge of best practices in maintenance procedures and protocols.
