PURPOSE OF THE POSITION<\/p>\n
\tTo oversee the planning, implementation, and tracking of project activities, ensuring that project goals are met on time and within budget. The coordinator will serve as the main point of contact for team members and stakeholders, facilitating communication and supporting day-to-day project operations.<\/p>\n
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:<\/p>\n
Project Planning and Execution<\/p>\n
\tMaintain project plans, including timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
\n\tCoordinate tasks, resources, and schedules to ensure timely project completion.
\n\tMonitor project progress and adjust plans as needed.<\/p>\n
Communication and Stakeholder Management<\/p>\n
\tAssist project head as point of contact for all project stakeholders, ensuring smooth communication.
\n\tPrepare and deliver project updates, reports, and presentations to stakeholders.
\n\tFacilitate meetings and discussions to ensure alignment between all team members.<\/p>\n
Technical Knowledge and Application<\/p>\n
\tUtilize technical expertise to contribute to project planning and decision-making, ensuring that all technical requirements are properly addressed.
\n\tAssist with the identification and resolution of technical challenges, collaborating with subject matter experts as needed.
\n\tEnsure that project deliverables meet technical specifications and quality standards.<\/p>\n
Risk Management and Problem Solving<\/p>\n
\tIdentify potential project risks and issues early on and develop mitigation plans.
\n\tResolve conflicts or issues that may arise during project execution.
\n\tEnsure that risk management strategies are implemented effectively to minimize disruptions.<\/p>\n
Resource Management<\/p>\n
\tAssist in the procurement of resources, ensuring alignment with project requirements Ad hoc.<\/p>\n
Reporting and Documentation<\/p>\n
\tMaintain project documentation, including contracts, progress reports, and deliverables.
\n\tEnsure that project records are up-to-date and compliant with organizational policies.
\n\tPrepare final project reports and assessments for stakeholders at project completion.<\/p>\n
Minimum requirements<\/p>\n
\tA PhD in the scientific field (NQF level 10) (e.g. Pharmaceutical Sciences, Biology or related).
\n\tFormal training in management, organization or strategy.
\n\tA minimum of two (2) years\u2019 project management experience.
\n\tA minimum of two (2) years\u2019 scientific experience.<\/p>\n
